Hair and make-up artist??

Recommended Posts

I corresponded with her at that e-mail on Tuesday and booked her for February 5th.  She had not received a previous e-mail I sent her two weeks prior so maybe her e-mail wasn't working very well.

Hi Girls!!! We just got back our first professional pictures!! Here they are - you can see Sara's work on here. She was amaziiiinnnng!!! The only tip I have for you girls is to give yourselves ample time. I felt bad telling my bridesmaids to wake up too early and so we were pressed for time. But I wish I had asked them to wake up earlier becuase Sara and her team were willing to come earlier. If I had done this we would have had more time for portraits with the bridesmaids. I loved loved Sara's work and she was completely sweet to work with, very easy to get in touch with. I would chose her all over again if I could!

I am really picky about my hair and so I was really nervous about this. They did my hair for the welcome party as my trial and then my makeup/hair the day of the wedding. They also helped with my bridesmaids and the mothers. All were very happy with them!!! And let me tell you my friends are picky! I loved my make up - it looked amazing and natural yet sophisticated and bridal. I loved loved it! It also lasted all day and night even despite all the sweat and happy tears. I would definitely use Sara if I had to do it all over again! She is also a total sweetheart!

Hi Future Mrs. M

Thanks for posting these pics!  Look look gorgeous.

I will have 4 bridesmaids and myself. How long would you recommend it might take for hair and makeup, based on your experience with Sara and her stylist(s?)?

Thanks

I would say maybe an hour each? I would double check with her though - she would know best : ) She was actually the one who suggested we should start earlier but I felt bad making my bridesmaids wake up earlier.

I should also mention - she uses MAC products! My face is very sensitive and her make-up worked great on my skin - no break outs or anything! Also - she applied lashes for me and they LOOKED great and lasted the whole night!

I'm so sad!  I thought I had Adrian Guerra reserved for my wedding date, and I was just waiting on getting him my offical numbers of how many of my bridesmaids wanted hair or makeup or both.  Come to find out, he ended up booking someone else for my wedding day and I can no longer have him :(

Now, I'm scrambling to figure out who to have come do our hair and make-up.  I've noticed good things on hear about Fernando and Ilka?  Does anyone have their email addresses?  Also, any other good suggestions?  I can't believe I'm looking again :(

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
