Hi Mandy!

First of all Congrats!

I am also getting married in Nassau and as a matter of fact, at the “Poop Deck” LOL! However, the poop deck has two locations, one at a marina and a newer location on the beach which is called “Poop Deck Sandyport”.

I am actually a cruise bride, we will be sailing with 45 of our family and friends on a weekend cruise on NCL the weekend of Oct. 16, 2009. While at port in Nassau we will get married shore side at Sandyport (that is what I am placing on my wedding invitations). I did look at the compass point, which is very beautiful, however it’s pricey and will not hold a lot of guest. Are you using a coordinator in the island? I am and I highly recommend her. Her link is below:

Before contracting her, I researched a lot of other WC and vendors in Nassau. I ended up contract them based on reviews, price and recommendations from other brides.

Also, below is the link to the poop deck…you can view both locations on the site:

If you need anything, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Good Luck!

Ceci

Congrats and welcome! I am also getting married in Nassau, but on April 24th. When is your date? We are taking a Carnival Cruise on April 22 to get to Nassau. Right now we are using a private wedding planner as well, but may have to look at alternate arrangements as we have more people going then expected. It is so exciting to see someone else on here in a similar situation. I will let you know if I find out any specific information. Good luck with all of your planning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
