Wedding Dresses in Toronto

Recommended Posts

I got mine at Windsor Bridal on Orfus road. It was a bridesmaid dress, total with taxes = $150 !! All the traditional dresses just weren't working for me a) because it's a beach wedding and B) this was my second wedding and I didn't want anything too poufy!

You have to keep an open mind when you are looking at bridesmaid dresses though, because they just don't make them in white for the showroom, so you have to be able to picture what it will look like in white.

My dress is in my siggy pic from my TTD. It was awesome and perfect for me!

I got mine at Best for Bride in Etobicoke. It's smallish, but they have a fairly good selection of DW dresses or bridesmaids dresses that as Debs mentioned, you could order in white...

My BM's are just each buying a regular dress within the 'colour scheme' I figured that way, I know they're going to like them and wear them again!

I got my dress at the Bridal and Beyond at Laird and Eglinton (TO). I told them by budget ($1000 & under) and they were great about it! They also have tons of sales happening all the time, as they're a new location. I ended up getting a Maggie Sottero dress with $300 off and coming under budget!

As for my BM's I took them to the mall, and tols them to get whatever they culd decide they all liked...worked out perfect!

I wanted a simple dress and I found this company in China

(Light in the box) who copy designer dresses. They can make one similer to a photo-but they have an extensive collection of wedding and BM dresses online and I found one they had on their site that was perfect.

If you are OVERLY concerned about your dress then prob don't take this route!...But since I wanted something simple.... I was willing to take the chance of ordering it over the internet and they custom made it to fit my measurements and it turned out beautiful.

Here is my dress but I ordered it in Ivory

2009 Style A-line V-neck Knee-length Taffeta Bridesmaid Dress (HSX120) - US$ 69.99

They do wedding dresses too and extravagant ones--you can't beat the price! I got mine in about 3 weeks!

Hope this helps some brides on a budget!

Val's Bridal in Courtice has a pretty good selection of DW gowns as well as tons of samples of non DW gowns. The service was wonderful. Of course, I am biased, seeing as though that's where I ended up purchasing my gown and bridesmaid dresses. :)

I have also heard that The Dressroom on the Danforth has a GREAT selection of DW type gowns as well. You certainly wouldn't go wrong there!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
