RMB "Free" Wedding: Are there per person charges over 10 guests?!

Recommended Posts

It says the RMB "free wedding package" only includes up to 10 guests...does that mean that we have to a per person fee for every guest over the 10 people for dinner or anything else? I didn't see this until just now and I am freaking out that it's going to cost us all this extra money now!

the 2010 free package is different than the 2009 package in that way. I would say that yes you'll have to pay for cake and sparkling wine if you want that. I didn't have to pay but that's cause the package has changed now. I don't really know if it's that important to pay extra for the cake. There is dessert included in your meal and only a handful of people had cake anyway cause there were so many more options.

good luck!

I think i read somewhere that as long as ur guests or you! buy a day pass then thats all you will pay over the price of the package. And remember it 10 guests not including the bride and groom!

Im having the same package with only 7 guests (2 of them are 6 year olds) we are all staying in the hotel so all of us are all inclusive. Makes me wonder what im paying for as our meals in the ala carte restaurants are free anyway?!?!

I noticed that there were extreme differences in the 2009 and 2010 Free packages too!

I wonder why they'd do that?

It makes sense that there won't be an extra charge for the dinner (since it IS an AI resort), and if there's only 10 chairs aroudn your ceremony site, grab some lawn chairs or lounges and have your guests sit on those! It is Jamaica, mon! No problem!

Ha ha ha...just kidding. I'm sure Riu ill accommodate more chairs. I hope...I'm doing the free wedding too!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
