Your picture is beautiful. Is that a pro pic? My wedding was better than I imagined it would be. It rained the day of the wedding (but not during the ceremony) so it wasn't hot or humid. It was comfortable and cloudy so no one was in sunglasses or squinting in pictures. The only thing I would have changed is the rain the next day. We did couple's photos the next day but it rained the whole time so it limited our options. I have a whole wedding review with pics that I plan to post soon.

I'm so excited for pics! Too bad about the couples shoot rain, but you'd be surprised at the gorgeous shots photographers can pull out of gloomy weather.  At least you had beautiful sunny skies for your ceremony, I'm sure you have a ton of gorgeous shots.

It rained intensely right before my wedding too.  I went outside about an hour before the ceremony was supposed to start and after about 6 steps I got blown over by crazy gusting winds!  My hair was all wonky after, so thank goodness it's a destination wedding and it could look "unfinished on purpose". haha.  They were just about to move us into the horribly ugly indoor location, when the clouds broke and it was sunny and hot the rest of the day.

I really didn't want to use the resort photographer as I was worried pictures would be very posed and cheesy, so I begged my big brother to come down to Mexico for both the wedding, and to take a few photos.  He's only been taking photos a few years, but just has the eye, so I was so excited when he said yes!! We've gotten an overwhelming response to his photos, and I couldn't be happier.  I don't get my TTD shots for about 3 weeks, it's gonna be a long wait!

A pro photographer would have laughed at me and my friends.  Usually people have lovely "getting ready" shots and what not, but me and the girls threw on our dresses and shoes 6 mins before the ceremony!  There wouldn't have been much to shoot :D

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
