Mixie23's Dreams Tulum Wedding Review (Parts 1 & 2)

Great review! I was wondering how you picked the reception menu from the restaurant menus? Did you do this in advance or at your meeting with the WC? I wouldn't mind having more options than those just listed in the wedding packages.

Thanks guys! I hope to be able to answer some of you questions - getting excited for tomorrow's AHR!!!

BellaBeachBabe & Butterflyf369 - The best way to get in contact with Sara Tomargo is to email her [saruchis@hotmail.com] but I would also CC the email to Sol Tamargo. Please just mention that you got the information from me (Nicole Lenihan) since I promised I would spread the good word!!!

Detroit Bride - sorry, I don't have $$ information, Wayne and I were very blessed that my parents paid for our wedding and we weren't really involved in the financial part of the process.

SunBride - Yeah, the reason the nail had to come off is because I had pink and white gel on top of my natural nail, so when it got caught in the chair it had already ripped about 1/2 way off - nothing left to do but pull it all the way off - gross.

Jerzy Girl - We just emailed the WC's at Dreams and asked if there were other options since we weren't thrilled with the pre-set menus. They told us we could select off of the restaurant menus to customize it.

Let me know if you ladies have any other questions!!

Thank you Mixie for posting such a wonderful review of your wedding at DT, it really helps me get an understanding as to what to expect and I must say, for the most part, I am soo excited! How many people did you have in attendance? I was wondering because, I will have around 67 and I am worried about the reception and how we will be able to pull this off!! Any suggestions? I am knew to this site, and have been trying to find things but most of the time it just tells me that I am not allowed in every time I try to go somewhere, so I hope that I am doing this right!!

Part 1 (pre-wedding activity review) is on page 1, Part 2(wedding day review) is on page 2. Thankfully one of the lovely moderators merged the two threads together for me, so everything is neatly in this one thread! As far as communicating with Landy, I had better luck emailing with Aurora until about a month before the wedding. I think that Landy is just super busy dealing with the brides she has in the immediate future so can't respond as quickly as the future brides would like. Aurora however was excellent, and she typically got back to me in a day or two, even if it was to say she was still working on it and she would be in touch soon. Her email is infoweddings@dreamstulum.com.mx . Good luck!!

Congratulations, thanks so much for the review, glad to hear you had such an overall wonderful time. Good to know about the spa issues to factor poss delays into the planning process.

Thanks for the tip about the menu's, i'm def gonna get onto that as we have spent ages trying to piece together a menu from the options available with no luck!

Looking forward to pics.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
