Hello everyone,

i am new to the forum and would like to send out my congrats to all bride-to-be's!! My fiance and i are excited to be planning our wedding for April 2010 in Dominican! We are having a hard time picking a resort, they all seem so nice and each seems to offer something a little different...We are caught up on the Dreams La Romana, Dreams Palm Beach and Melia Tropical...

Lots of research these days, and communication with the wedding coordinators but i feel like i am going around in circles! Once i get my mind set on one, i think of something else that i like better about another resort. Is this happening to anyone else??

Looking forward to chatting!

welcome and congrats......I was up and down on what resort to go to also. I spoke to my travel agent and told her what resorts I had in mind, and went with the one that fit my budget, and truly am happy with the resort I got....

Good luck hunting...

Hey Melissa!!

congrats to another canuck getting married in the DR!!

We are from Winnipeg, planning on Punta Cana Feb 2011, so far the Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe, or Majestic Elegance...leaning towards the Barcelo Bavero Palace Deluxe though, it has 5 resorts that could also visit, or your guests have an option of staying at a less expensive sister hotel!

but we won't know our inal decision until the rates come out in Jan for 2011.

Best of luck to you guys!! enjoy your researching!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
