VERY upset with Bittersweet Wedding designs right now!

Well it's Wednesday night now and I STILL haven't heard from her. We will be leaving on Sunday morning, most likely sans flowers.

At least we have the resort flowers to fall back on! I'm sure they will be just as beautiful! Mum-in-law-to-be is bringing her glue gun and I found some extra ribbon to take in case we have to make any "adjustments" to what we get at the resort!

We're very disappointed, but all will be well!

Now, just to try to get the money back! eeek

I just looked at the Bittwersweet website and it seems that she is ONLY doing DIY rentals now. No flowers anymore. (At least I could not see any pics of flowers or info on them) From what I can tell by just reading this post, it seems to be a classic case of someone taking on more than they can handle. Makes me very hesitant to order something like flowers online that needs to be shipped sight unseen and I will be only dealing with local flower vendors to ensure that I like the products I get!!

Yikes! I'm sorry to hear about all of this!

I know it's no consolation, given you most likely won't have flowers, but make sure you file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau! Don't let them get away with being jerks .... and make sure you let everybody know about your experience! Post a review on Google too!

Let us know if we can help by spreading the word!

Sorry again to hear about all this stress right before your wedding ...

BUT I agree that the flowers on the resort will be beautiful & your wedding is still going to be the best day!! Enjoy :)

I've also had a horrible experience with Bitter Sweet. I paid my deposit in September 2009 for flowers in February 2010 and never got my flowers. On top of it all, she has completely ignored my attempts to contact her, and I haven't received a refund. Please save yourself the time and money and DO NOT deal with this company.

Also a great idea to always check out your potential vendors on better business bureau (you will see that Bitter Sweet has a rating of F minus!!!).

I called my credit card company, but it's too late, because I made the deposit so long ago (trying to be a good planner! lol). I really just want to help spread the word so other brides don't fall victim. I don't know where I'm going to go from here, but I'm not giving up on getting my money back!

Thanks for the support ladies!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
