I'm am SOOO stressed out. My legal wedding (which is in a church) is in less than 6 DAYS and I haven't received my flowers from Bittersweet yet! I've emailed Crystal and called her twice and she hasn't replied! I haven't even seen photos of what my flowers look like! It is too late to get a florist now so I'm scared I won't even have a bouquet!! I have heard that she's been sick lately and I'm very sorry to hear that but at the same time, if you are overworked, you need to hire an assistant temporarily to at least answer phone calls and emails.. I have had so many sleepless nights over this, since I've paid my deposit and now it looks like it's totally lost and I have still have no flowers and no one is replying to me!! sad.gif

Sorry to hear that.

On another forum a bride had the same problem with the same vendor... don't know if she got the flowers, in the end.

Maybe you could go to Michaels and get some flowers and make a DIY bouquet? If you have to do that, I would ask a refund from Bittersweet Wedding Designs.

Keep us posted and I hope everything will turn out well!

I was going to make a thread about BitterSweet too. I orignally ordered a bridal bouquet, two bridesmaid bouqet (which would also be used for centerpieces) and five boutineires, I got that no problem. Two days after I received it I emailed Crystal because more people were coming (also I added another bridesmaid)and I needed one more centerpiece and a boutinere for a new groomsmen. I paid for the new order and She told me that she still had flowers left over from my previous order and would get it within the week. That was in May I have gotten two emails from her since then, once in late June telling me she sent it and then one two weeks ago saying that UPS lost the package and she sent me another one express. If she sent it express I would have received it the next day since we are both in Canada. Obvioiusly I havent received anything. Im leaving to Cancun in one week. I now have one table with no centerpiece, a bridesmaid with no bouquet and a groomsman with no boutinere. I dont know what to do....

I should have told in my first post that I also bought flowers from Bittersweet. I received them (late, because she was sick this winter), but I was fine with that, I had plenty of time before my wedding.

Flowers were looking "good", but I was disappointed about colours and the whole arrangement. The quality was very good, but the colours were not the same in pictures and in real, and I'm very picky about that.

Because I had approved the proof pics, I decided to try to improve everything (bride, bridesmaids, corsages and bouts) by myself. My DIY talents are not very high, so in the end, I bought a new flower package from another vendor. Now, my Bittersweet bouquets are going to decorate my home.

EEK!! Don't worry Hayley, I'm on it along with everyone else's! I did fall behind because of the time I was off sick, but so far everyone has been getting their bouquet sets just in time. They are a little behind, but don't miss a date!! I am paying for Express saver shipping with DHL or UPS ...whichever promises me it will get there in time at my own expense in order to make things right with everyone! We also had a rental shed burn down so we lost alot of rentals and it's been CRAZY hectic.

Maryyy, I'm not sure who you are, but you should have told me you didn't like the bouquet! Which one was it? I would have refunded you no problem. I don't have a whole lot of control over the colors unless I dyed them, but if you weren't happy, let me know!

I do urge anyone that if it is too stressful for you, please let me know and I will definitely refund your deposit without hassle if you would like to take another route. I understand completely how stressful it can be to wait for something for your wedding date. I will not be hurt if you choose to take that route, and I won't hold back your deposit from you. I need you all to be satisfied and happy with what you get, even if it's with another company. I can also refer you to other vendors if need be.

Otherwise, please be patient. A lady from the forum just got her flowers 2 days before her wedding, but she did get them and she was very happy with them!

I'm off to do more bouquets!!

PS....I'm working on that assistant idea...it's just hard to find someone I can trust to follow through and keep in touch with all my brides!!

~*~ UPDATE ~*~

I just wanted add to Crystal's post that I emailed her a 3rd time and I got a response right away! She wasn't able to get my calls/email before because she was away for the weekend. She promised me that I WILL get my flowers in time and that I don't have to worry. I feel much more reassured now, and will keep everyone posted!

Oh, I'm glad everything worked out! That has to feel great to have one less thing to worry about. (I really think vendors should use those "I'm away from the office" emails when they're going to be gone for awhile...I just think it helps reassure people who are going crazy trying to contact them!)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
