I paid for the new order and She told me that she still had flowers left over from my previous order and would get it within the week. That was in May I have gotten two emails from her since then, once in late June telling me she sent it and then one two weeks ago saying that UPS lost the package and she sent me another one express. If she sent it express I would have received it the next day since we are both in Canada. Obvioiusly I havent received anything. Im leaving to Cancun in one week. I now have one table with no centerpiece, a bridesmaid with no bouquet and a groomsman with no boutinere. I dont know what to do....

Hey Dee83 did you ever get your flowers? My order has also been sent UPS express on july 21st, which I assume arrives the next day? It hasn't come yet.. Hopefully it arrives today!!

BTW THANKS everyone for all of your support! Here's my update so far: I got a photo of my bouquet which looks fabulous! I also got a photo of the bridesmaid bouquet (great arrangement, but colour looks orange rather than coral, however she did say that her camera did not capture the colour properly, so I guess I'll have to wait and see as there was no time to change it!

I DIDN'T get a photo of the centrepieces I've ordered, even though I emailed twice asking for those.. I'm guessing she wanted to make sure that the shipment arrived on time and didn't have a chance to take the photo.. However it would have been nice to see what I was getting, or at least get an acknowledgement that there actually ARE centrepieces that are being shipped! I have yet to see what the boutonnieres look like too.. But at this point as long as my flowers actually ARRIVE ON TIME, that's all that matters to me right now!

I will post pics of the flowers as soon as I get them!

Thanks again everyone for helping me keeping it together! :)

I try not to be too dramatic... it doesn't help matters much in any event!

I'm posting to update that when I shipped out Hayley's flowers, I sent another package to NFLD. UPS did all the packaging for me, and after I filled out the shipping info, they put the packages in the back and then I guess put the labels on. WELL, they completely screwed up and put the wrong labels on the boxes. So Hayley got another bride's flowers and vice versa!!!! So I have given Hayley the funds for a real bouquet for her legal wedding and she will have her faux bouquet in time for her beach wedding. Luckily the other bride doesn't leave until next week.

Needless to say, we were all very upset about the mixup! UPS is working with me to refund for shipping, etc considering I paid them to do a job and they did it wrong.

Note to self *no matter how pushed for time you are, ALWAYS package and label all boxes by yourself!!!*

I'm working my ass off this weekend to get more done and catch up more. I was rushing to clean up a wedding this morning so I could get back to bouquets, and 8 mirrors for centerpieces slipped out of my hand and 3 of them smashed. I'm praying that doesn't mean 21 years of bad luck!!!! Maybe it will reverse the bad luck I've had lately!!

If your'e waiting to hear from me, expect to hear from me soon!

Actually, it's been 4 days since this mixup happened, and I STILL DON'T have the money credited to me for my bouquet.... Don't have any email saying my flower order has been shipped either...

If you want something done right do it yourself. I say dont blame others when it was your fault. Sorry ladies that are going through the mixups and all that. Im glad your legal day turned out well and hopefully you will get a credit and the flowers you want :)

Is it time to set up a thread to "Boycott Bittersweet" yet? Count me in...

I've been following everything since day one and I feel soooooo bad for you...and even worse now since things haven't been handled very well by this vendor. Like everyone else has said...the fact that you're getting married to the man of your dreams is the most important thing...flowers or no flowers :)

Wishing you all the best for your wedding in the Dominican...have an amazing time!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
