offbeat entertainers in PV - fire dancers, jugglers, drag queens, acrobats, etc.

Recommended Posts

At our reception, in addition to music, we are interested in providing a few little segments of unusual entertainment--maybe some circus performers doing juggling or hula hoops, or a fire dancer, or a drag queen doing a comedy routine (in English), or something else that one wouldn't see every day.

If anyone has any referrals for entertainers in the P.V. area who *aren't* musicians, we welcome any tips you can offer.

Ideas?

Vallarta Adventures has fire dancers that you may be able to hire. As far as I know, Aunt Joanna should be back in PV in February and does an outstanding "drag" show. Well, not really drag, as "she" really does sing and does amazingly hilarious impersonations. Here is the website and you can check out Aunt Joanna and see if she is available and the charge. Sounds like you will really have a FUN wedding! :)

I contracted mine through The Dazzling Details (WC) so I do not have contact info but I can give you their contact info. It was one of the best decisions I made for the wedding. We kept it a surprise and everyone love it. They are still talking about it. I did the 3 person show for 15 minutes (which I think was a lot longer) but was plenty of time. This included the fire dancer, a drummer, and they guy playing the crazy austrialian horn thing (no idea what it is called but it is really neat). I think the price was close to $600.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
