What Kind Of Make-up Do You Use?

I use Bare Minerals and I love it. If you are oily and that is why you have a hard time finding the right make up, I suggest something like Proactiv, or a knock off kit avail at drugstores for around $19.99. The key is the lotion. It has benzoyl peroxide in a low concentration 2.5% (Neutrogena also makes On the Spot Acne Cream in 2.5% if you don't need a whole cleaning system). Any higher (most acne creams are 5 or 10% benzoyl peroxide) concentration and your skin feel stripped of oils and then overcompensates by producing more oil. Use the 2.5% BP under your make up and I think you will notice less oil production and your make up will stay on better. Good luck.

Ummm...I love MAC, love it. I took a personal make-up course at a college in Toronto and they taught us using mostly MAC because it is what they think is the best for personal make-up and photographey. So, I would not listen to the people who say it sucks and try it out for yourself first. Go there, ask them to put some foundation and powder on you, they do this for free, they will tell you what shades to use, and then you buy it and take it home and try it and if you don't like it, you bring it back and get your money back, no questions asked. I have returned a few things cause they did not look good on me, and I just got my money back (well, I could have, but I got other things instead). So, I am a pro MAC girl :)

I am going to sephora tonight. I went to MAC in King of Prussia Mall here in philly and walked away looking like a painted CHEAP whore and I spent 178.00. The shadows were nice, but the look was not natural enough for me.

Bobbi Brown may be the best bet.

I love Bare Minerals! It seems to be the most natural for a day-to-day use. But by the end of the day I need a bit more coverage. But for daily use, it's a no-brainer. And I'm one of those girls who hates to wash my face at night, I know, disgusting, but I have yet to break out and sleep w/ it almost every night.

When I need a bit more coverage, or want a longer wearing foundation, I use Classified Cosmetics spray on foundation (it's what Carmandy uses on What Not to Wear) and I love it too!

For eyes, I use Bare Minerals or Bobbi Brown (also Bobbi has the best brushes!).

And for lips, I ususally just wear a gloss, something easy.

Martha, I actually think the Bare Escentuals dries up my skin a little because it's a powder and not a lotion. And it has great coverage. Do you have Sephora or Ulta where you live? You can try it for free there (less pressure than in dept stores too).

In the winter when my skin is dry I used tinted moisturizer and in the summer when it's sweaty and humid I used the bare minerals/bare escentuals

I am all about the natural look and I love MAC, I am guessing you have a person do you make-up who likes to wear a lot of make-up themselves. I look at a person whose make-up I like and I get them to help me. Its just like a hairdresser, if they have bad hair, I won't let them do mine. lol Just a rule I have.

I use MAC- all of it...I've never left there looking cheap. I pick out what I want and they offer suggestions.I generally prefer an "enhanced" natural look. I did my own wedding makeup using all MAC products, here's a pic:

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
