For Brides that were married here How long did it take for Nikki or Chandlyn to get back to you? I understand that they contact you one month before your wedding date but I have not heard from neither one of them yet. I've emailed questions 3 weeks ago no reply, I even called and could never catch them. I have less than four weeks to go should I start panicing or keep the faith?

Tiffiney - That must be so stressful! I wouldn't worry though.. maybe just email them again, and make the title something like "getting married in August/09, please respond" - Good luck!! And congrats! You must be getting so excited!!

Kris - I'm getting married in Jan 2010.. (like you, still a while away) I know they are SO busy, and so people like us are probably (and rightly so) the LAST priority in terms of answering questions.. I emailed to book my reception location, and heard back within 2 weeks, but with misc. questions, sometimes it takes over a month.. I don't really care though, because most of the answers to the questions I have can be found on this forum.. and also because many past brides have said that EVERYTHING can be chosen/confirmed once you get there.. with up 3 weddings a day 6 days a week, SUPER slow internet connections, and July/Aug brides to respond to, they are probably just totally backlogged.

I definitely understand your frustration because I'm also getting married in less than a month and have sent Chandlyn 3 emails within the last 6 weeks and have yet to hear back. I've also tried calling as well. I understand they are extremely busy but all I need is just a few questions answered so I can finalize some things. A simple response saying my email was receied and they'll get back to me shortly will suffice.

Im not getting married until May 2010--and I heard back within a day.....I was shocked. I put my booking ref in subject line, and the wedding date- I started the email by saying, "I know this is wayy down the road, but you shouldn't have anymore questions from me" I asked to book the seagrape (gave my times) as well as our times for the dinner. She responded to say it was all confirmed, and to send any further questions her way.

Maybe I got lucky and she was having a slow day.

I'd definitely email again, with your ref and date in the subject, and maybe the start the email with,.."In case you missed this...see email below" or something......maybe it depends on the stuff you needed answered, if its stuff she can take care of a day or so before the wedding, hopefully you're safe...but if its to book and confirm suff--Id want the email answered!

Good luck--let us know what happens!

Awww Tiffiney...I know you're frustrated but don't worry. When you get there & meet with her you'll see that she has everything in order. As busy as she is you'll probably never catch her in her office.
Have you already confirmed your ceremony/schedule with her?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
