Where My Teachers At?!

*Karla*

Recommended Posts

My fiance and I are both teachers and we go back to school Monday for preplanning - yuck! I basically spent all summer doing a few projects around our new house, then I got engaged in July and become obsessed with wedding planning. I agree that the hardest part of having so much time off is finding stuff to do that does not involve spending money. We are lucky to have the beach only 10 minutes away so we spend A LOT of time there. I can't believe the summer is really over now though sad.gif

Hi everyone!

I am an elementary teacher. I got stuck with a 2/3 split this year - yuck!! I really prefer junior grades but they keep pushing me lower and lower (my favourite is grade 4) . We have to go back on the 3rd for a couple of PA days but the kids start on the 8th.

This sumemr has been going by quicker than usual - we went on a trip to Vegas right after school ended. (That was were we got engaged!!!)

Then we were home for a couple of weeks - when I became addicted to wedding plans -then we went to Mexico for a vacation. We checked out the resort for the wedding. It was beautiful!

So, now that I am home again I have been glued to my computer trying to get some planning done. I know when school starts I will be overwhelmed with work and the year will fly by. I want to get a bunch of things done before we go back.

How much have you ladies accomplished?

Congrats and Good luck

Karla... I'm also a Hs guidance counselor and former teacher. I really enjoy the time off, it does get boring at times though. I was able to work part time in July to make a few bucks for the wedding. I've been doing lot's of relaxing and working on wedding related stuff... dress shopping, sending out STD's , researching. I'll be back to work Sept. 8.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
