Wow.

I think it's great your posting the letter here. Not only will the BDW brides see it but depending on how a search engine picks it up he may find that many more potential clients are as turned off by his comments as you are.

I would let him know you will continue looking for an experienced photographer, not someone trying to build a portfolio. Also inform him that you have shared his preferred client specifications for future reference of other brides.

New idea. You should respond to his e-mail with a link to this thread and write a simple "No Thank You" before the link. Nothing more hubmling then reading about how disliked you are amoung the customers you are basing your business in.

WOW Steph- that is beyond wrong on so many levels.

I agree with the other girls.. THANK GOD you found out how horrible he is before hiring him and finding out in Mexico. I would def send a note back letting him know his was insulting and that you will take your money elsewhere!

Good luck in your search for the perfect photographer!

"Wedding rates have a wide range (simple to elaborate). We strive to fit each clients needs for their real world budget. Please contact us for date availability and a quick quote." Ok this is a quote directly from his website, it made me LOL. If he really meant that, then why does he say what he said in his email to Steph. I think he puts that on his site in an attempt to lure potential clients in to emailing him for a quote and the responds with his "criteria" lol what a tool.

As much fun as it would be to tell him off or link a supermodel picture or an ugly picture, I think I like this idea best! I still have not responded, I think I'll wait till I get home tonight.

I agree about the e-pics, I didn't think anything of it at first, in fact I thought it was a good idea to see if a bride liked his work, but maybe not!

Anyways, he wasn't at the top of my list by any means, thank goodness! The fact that he has no clue what I look like or what my budget was just kills me!

By the way, we do have some member photographers on this site that are very professional and I think they really set the bar. The responses that I have received from them regardless of it was through their website or on the forum have been nothing but wonderful.

Thanks for all the support on this! I just hope it helps another future bride from potentially ruining her wedding day!

"Wedding rates have a wide range (simple to elaborate) just as clients come in a wide range of sizes (fit to large). We strive to fit each clients needs for their real world budget, as long as they fit our needs for a hot bride that we can show off in our portfolio. If you are really hot, weâ€ll post your picture more than once. Even if itâ€s the same picture. Please contact us for date availability and a quick insult."

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
