And Lisa, I have contacted Jeremy, he is fabulous and professional and seems like an awesome guy! As are the few other BDW vendors I have contacted.

I feel this is the biggest decision of my wedding (more so than the resort or dress!) and I think I may lose my mind before its all over! wink.gif
Steph- I went to school with Jeremy and not only is he amazingly talented, he is a fun and kind person too:)

i definitely felt it was one of the most important aspects of the wedding! i never was able to get DH to understand tho (ended up just hiring someone and paying for it myself because he wouldn't). i'm sure he couldn't care less if we had no pictures at all, even now, after having gotten such wonderful ones! it's horrible to say, but i honestly don't think he'll understand their worth until we lose someone (*knock on wood*) and he can look back on the photos of us all together. just watching our video and seeing my dad escorting my mom, i got all choked up ... they're both a little older, and i was just so happy to be blessed to have them both still around for my wedding day. yeah so VIDEO is important too, if you can swing it!

Wow I just read through this whole thread and all I can say is that guy is unbelievable. To treat a potential client like that is extremely unprofessional on so many levels. Sorry to hear that you had to experience that ass...and thanks for letting us future destination brides know...I am currently in the process of looking for a photog to come to Cuba so I will be sure to stay far away from him!

Wow I can't believe he actually asked those questions. That is extremely offensive and unprofessional, I would never want someone with that mind-set photographing one of the most important days of my life. I think I would have a hard time responding without telling him exactly how I felt and how I hope his business plummets into the ground.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
