Hair styling product?

Recommended Posts

Since I don't normally use hair styling products, I'm looking for some advice.

I have long layered hair that I want to have curled and styled in a half updo for my wedding. I'll be washing my hair the night before my appointment and would like some suggestions on what product to use before blowdrying to help give my hair some grip and to help hold the curl.

Any products that really hold up in the humidity and keep hair smooth and frizz free would be great!

I forgot to ask my hairstylist when I went for my cut. Thanks in advance.

The one that I use in summer is -

Sephora: Frederic Fekkai Marine Summer Hair Zero-Humidity Frizz Control: Styling Products

And in winter I use -

Sephora: Frederic Fekkai Glossing Cream: Styling Products

I also use to use a product by Redken that was amazing as well but unfortunately I can't remember the name of it - sorry. I have super think, course hair and the Fekkai products always work wonders for me :)

I keep my shit simple and cheap -- Garnier Fruticis smoothing milk has always worked for me rolleyes.gif $3 a bottle, definitely worth a try!!!

I washed my hair 3 hours before my stylist curled and set it ~ curls were fabulous and held all night and through the next morning.

The Art of Healthy Hair

Humidity Blocker --Designed for: All hair types to lock out humidity, eliminate frizz and prevent the style from collapsing.

For the wedding I treated myself to a collection of professional products ... this one was by far the best - but it was about $25CDN... expensive compared to drugstore stuff.....

It was fantastic!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
