how many weddings in a day?

I was reading posts on here and saw that some resorts have several weddings in one day and others do not. Would you ladies be able to help me put it together. I can't seem to find the posts I was reading in order to add the info to my spreadsheet I'm working on.

 

I'm considering pretty much all resorts at this point, pretty early in the info gathering stage

This was important factor in choosing a resort for DH and I.

 

The Iberostar resorts in the Mayan (Beach, Del Mar, Lindo, Maya, and Grand) only do one wedding per day.

We also considered this. We are getting married at The Royal in Playa and they do have more than one wedding a day. However we got the highest package so we could have a totally private wedding. I also spoke to lots of other brides who said it was never an issue. I also think it depends if you go during high season or not.

 

Best of luck with narrowing the choices. It was the toughest part for us

The Mayan Palace & The Grand Mayan they do 1 wedding per day.

I think I was the only one getting married on my day (Thursday) but I was at the Cocotal restaurant on EDR on Sat. and due to the rain, I saw about 4 wedding receptions taking place within 1 hour that I was there- with 2 of them happening simultaneously!

riu hotels says it depends on the size of the party but they may do 1 wedding in the morning and 1 in the afternoon

There are so many resorts in the area of Cancun and Mayan Riviera. There is a thread that is the map of the area and has a number of the resorts in the area. A great resource.
