Hello,

My name is Melissa and I am newly engaged. We have decided to elope and have our trip to Vegas booked and the wedding date set (Sept 19, 2009).....now we just have to figure out the actual wedding. It is just my husband-to-be and I going so I dont want to spend too much money. We would love a wedding in the valley of fire and were considering booking with Scenic Las Vegas Weddings. The VOF is more expensice but I am afraid the chapels may be too cheesy.....and our room possibly awkward (but beautiful as we are staying at the Venetian)? I am looking for an intimate wedding with lots of pictures to bring home to family and friends. I am hoping to find some ideas and advise about which companies can be trusted with your special day in Vegas :)

Congratulations and welcome. A wedding in Vegas is sure to be a good time. When I was there in March we saw a few brides on different nights having a great time taking photos all over the strip. If you like being the centre of attention (like myself) and want some unique photos you should surely take pictures on the strip at night.

Good luck with your planning.

I think a VOF elopement would be so romantic even if it is a little pricier! I know there are packages that will limo you out, marry you and take you back to your hotel or somewhere for dinner. There are so many chapel options that don't look cheesy. You can name your personal style (modern, outdoor, church like, etc) and find the chapel that fits your style.

Ceasers & Wynn have some great garden chapels, Mandalay Bay has a very clean modern look, MGM more traditional decor. You can even go quirky and have a pirate ship wedding at Treasure Island or Shark Reef at MB. Sky is the limit!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
