When/if to send invitations?

    Hello, All! I'm brand new and have a question about reservations and invitations.

    My fiance and I are planning on having our wedding at The Caves in Negril. I was told they were unable to hold rooms for our guests for more than 48 hours. This puts us and our guests in quite a bind as A) not all will be able to plop down a $1700-3000 deposit within 24 hours and B) what does this mean for our invitations if we will have to call all of our guests to tell them they have to book a reservation immediately, long before the invitations go out?

    Even though some guests will no angry about the situation, we must give them a call asap before the resort books. So all guests know when/what/where do you think the etiquette would be about sending out invitations?

    Any suggestions about how to tell our guests the good (and bad news)?
