Trying to get prego on wedding night/honeymoon?

We're hoping to buy a house and possibly move cities right after we get married- that's enough major changes, plus i want to enjoy being a newlywed for as long as i can! Once that wears off the babyhood will be something new and exciting, rather than get all rolled into the same ball.

Our situation is a lil different though, b/c we'll be finishing grad school and starting our careers shortly after the wedding... need some time to get established before taking on dependents :)

A wedding night/honeymoon baby does sound very romantic (and memorable story) however!

Haha thank you for the "baby vibes". Hopefully they'll get my body behaving by the time my wedding rolls around! lol

Me me me!! LOL! We are going to try for a honeymoon baby. I have a 5 year old from a previous marriage, and would love for her to have a sibling sooner than later...it is hard to decide when to go off the pill though, because I am miserable during my period when not on it. sad.gif

After wedding planning, I know I could not go from wedding planning to baby planning. Fi and I both want to wait at least a year of just being us and traveling some and getting to know each other more. He has two that are 17 and 20 but I don't have any. Good luck to everyone trying. At least you will have fun trying :-)

We wouldn't mind. We plan to start trying right away but I expect it'll take longer than that. I do think that a lot of you girls who are waiting for a bit after the wedding have the right idea though- it'll be nice to have time together as a married couple. We've just been living together for so long that I doubt we need to have any more "just us" time and we had to push back the wedding a few times... so we don't want to wait any longer to have kids (I'm not getting any younger, either).

We have been together for 9 years and lived together for 4 of those years, i think we know each other enough to start TTC right away. However, i think my period is due around my wedding night so i have been in 2 minds whether to let it come or put it off with a short term pill from the doctor. I am aware i may not fall pregnant straight away, but would still like to start trying as soon as we wed!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
