Also, there is a $2.00 per bag fee for the front desk to distribute your OOT bags.

If Chandlyn emailed you, make sure you print that out and take the email with you or have her add it to the wedding contract or something. I would hate for you to get down there and there be an extra charge for using the outside florists!

I am DEFINITELY planned on bringing copies of all my emails with Chandlyn, so there is no confusion when I get down there.

I didn't email him because I hired Robin! She is a guest at the hotel for the minimum stay, so no problems. I have written permission from Riu and I will certainly be printing that email out and bringing it with me (just in case!)

Hey ladies! I am bringing my own photographer from home. I contacted Michael directly to negotiate. I have read some some reviews where Photo Shop sabataged the photos because they have a contract with Riu that Riu is not suppose to breach. He told me that if I pay $150 and still hire them for my video it will not be a problem. I would recommend that you contact him if you are bringing your own photographer. He does not work directly for Riu, so you want to have an agreement in writing from him, not just Chandalyn. I would hate for any of you to spend the extra money to bring your own photographer, and then run into problems with Michael. He was very flexible with me.

Thanks for the info.

Robin, I heard that people were walking in front of the cameras and even one case where they took the photographer's film! If I remember where I read that, I'll let you know, I honestly can't think of it right now!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
