Choosing a HAIRSTYLE!!

Recommended Posts

sharon,

i think if it worries you soo much you need to go to your normal hairdresser once you have chosen a style and get photos taken so that you can take them with you to show the resort haridresser.please try not to worry too much it will be fine.

Ugh. Let me know what you decide. I also have shoulder length hair and it's so frustrating to have styled-it's that horrible in-between stage where I want to chop it all off but I'm so far into growing it I might as well keep going until it's long.....then I can cut it all off.

I like it up but I don't think it's as flattering to my face as when it's down. I think I'll end up just having it loosely curled or something with flowers. I'm planning to work with my stylist 6 weeks before or something to find a look I like.

The message board for my resort has had several positive reviews of the salon on location so I have my fingers crossed what ever I decide they can duplicate.

Good website! projectwedding.com is a good one too.

I am also having hair anxiety. My hair is not nearly as long as I want it to be for the wedding but I'm imagining something simple and up so hopefully it'll work out alright.

I'm not going to do a trial before because I don't really see the sense in paying someone to do my hair that won't be doing at the wedding. Although it could give some good ideas, I'd rather just practice myself. Doing one at the resort with the actual person doing your hair could be worth it if you want to put your mind at ease.

I'm sure you'll look gorgeous! Good luck :)

My girlfriend got married in June and she used the Jessica Simpson hairpiece. She used it for her engagement photos and wedding. It was pre-curled and she just clipped in her hair and then the hair dresser curled the rest of her hair to match. It stayed in all night - and she wore it all down! It think the pre-curled extensions work well, and I'm using it for mine. I haven't dyed my hair for almost two years - trying to grow it out, and I think I'm going to dye it to match the extensions I buy.

I also looked at projectwedding.com and saved a bunch of photos from there! they all look good! I can't decide either!

Vikki, i will let you know! I am in that EXACT in between phase, and NOTHING looks good, lol! So maybe i'll try the pieces, I am just not that hair savvy, so a diy isn't in my future!

Also, thanks for that projectwedding.com suggestion! There are a lot of great ideas, they just keep flowing now! Ahh, haha, too many choices!

Well, good luck in hairplanning to all!

My wedding is less than 4 months away, and I am in the same boat - what hairstyle to choosehuh.gif My main concern is how much wind will there be on the beach? My original plan was it have half up half down, but I don't want it to look like a big disaster after being out in the wind for a bit! Can any previous brides help out here - my ceremony is at the beach gazebo at 4PM, will wind be a major factor? Did it affect your hair? My hair is such a problem on a regular day, I don't want bad pictures as a permanent reminder about my hair issues! wink.gif

Thanks so much for your input, I think your hair looked amazing! I will probably do the same and put it up loosely, and if it looks a bit messy then so be it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
