Question for Riu brides

Recommended Posts

Hi Ladies. I am in the process of menu planning and I was just wondering what you had for your menu. What did you like and dislike? I'm a feeder and food is really important to me at any event. I would like to get some opinions before finalizing my menu. Thanks so much!smile03.gif

I won't be having my reception at the restaurant. Instead we will be having a private function at the pool so I need to choose from the private event menu. Some of the food on there sounds good but I've never tasted it. Just overly nervous I guess...blush2.gif

It's a $500 site fee and it is extra for the food. It can range from $38 - $58/pax. We chose the $48/pax option. We are not paying for a bartender though becuase the bar is only one set of stairs away. We saw the set up when we were there for a site visit and were sold.

If memory serves me correctly, the beach reception is held just below the steakhouse. I believe there is a set of stairs that go up about 2 flights that will lead you directly to the bar. We also saw this set up on our site visit. Very private!!! They will have the tables in the sand but they construct a dance floor and walking area out of plywood. My dress has a chapel train and is lace so I prefered to have the stone walking area. My worst nightmare is to have my dress tear on a peice of wood.girl_werewolf.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
