I've never heard of fiberglass nails - sounds interesting but since the gel is working for me, I'm going to stick with it.

I paid $70 to hav the gel put on my nails originally & I pay $40 to have them refilled every 3 weeks. My place uses the dremel (electric drill thingy) in combination with the regular files. I've never gone to a place that doesn't. I get tons of compliments on my nails too - I think the permanent french look is just very simple - I get actual polish maybe 2x/year - i hate waiting for it to dry!

I always get solar nails...Anyone know the difference b/w gel and solar? I have seen gel nails on the "menu" at the salon, but I don't know the difference. I have been really happy with solar, except for this one time when I when I was trying a new salon and my nails ended up with a yellow tint after about a week. When I went back to my regular salon, they said the other people had used cheap powder.

Hi:

I have had fake mails for about 2 years.....I just took mine off for a while before I get married just to give my nails a break. I look forward to getting them done again for the wedding.

I love them I can go for abour 3 weeks before I have a fill. Good luck

Acrylic, no matter how cheap or expensive, turns yellow after being in the sun. A lot of cheap nail salons will put gel over them to prevent it from happening. and pass it off as gel nails.

My understanding of Solar nails is that it's an acrylic brand by Creative Nail Design System.

Gel nails are exactly that - gel. When they put it on, it's a gel that is set with UV lamps. This is a guy doing true gel nails: YouTube - gel french nails

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
