When my son was born, i went to Walmart got a wood picture frame, lime green paint, wood animal figures (his room was rainforest theme) & a box of letters to spell his name.. i have had SO many people ask me to make them one of these for their kids, it probably cost me $7 to make & have been offered $15-$20 to make one.. im not crafty at all but it was so easy & didnt take a lot of time at all.. u could just make simple things like this that other people think looks hard to make, throw it up on etsy or ebay and make some cash.

I am a pole dancing fitness instructor and as a side thing I do parties. Whilst I don't advocate necessarily teaching something unless you are experienced there are a lot of companies who give you the basics of pole dancing and away you go. You can make a lot of money per hour. It is becoming a huge thing now and is very good for you, particularly if you want to lose weight in the process or tone up.

Another thing to look at is the adult parties where you sell underwear, sex toys etc. Or if you are a little more sedate, candles or tupperware.

I guess you have to be happy to give up weekends and Friday nights.

Interesting thread! I would love to do something to make extra money on the side as well; but there aren't very many options. A friend of mine offered to get me into becoming a consultant for Party Lite but honestly, I hate selling...and I'm no good at it, lol. The stuff sells itself, but I don't have the time to set up parties. All my free time is spent with my FI and cat, friends and family and also to do wedding stuff. I really wish I was a good photographer; I would not mind giving up free time to photograph other people.

So the key is to find something you have a passion for...I just wish it were so easy to find it, lol.

I baby sit at least two nights a week and that money just goes straight into our wedding account. I pretty much do the same things I would be doing at home but somewhere else and it gives my FI some time to himself.

Also I know Vet clinics are always hiring pt work on the weekends. A great administration job if you love animals and great discounts also.

Good luck

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
