jobs/businesses on the side

I am a Pampered Chef consultant. The good news is while many direct sales businesses have seen a HUGE slump with the economy, Pampered Chef has not because they are products that can make cooking at home cheaper and we cook at the party, so it is an excuse for people to get together. Good money too. Set your own hours! Make 25%+ off your sales... always options to earn more or freebies...

A friend of mine does Park Lane Jewelry p/t and a bunch of my extended friends (whom she did not know) have become loyal Park Lane Jewlery fans. We all have parties and seriosuly we have all bought ssoo much jewelry. She loves doing it and says she makes good money - plus gets free jewelry. I would totally look into myself if she hadn't already gotten a firm hold of all my friends purse-strings, lol.

I also used to be a consultant for The Traveling Vineyard. I LOVED it and while I didn't make a ton of money - the experience did help me land a f/t wine job!

Funny thing is I also hate accounting yet my full time and part time job is accounting. I didnt even go to school for it I just kind of fell into it. It pays well but I am DEFINATELY ready to go back to school.

And babysitting?!?! That might not be so bad, it wouldn't be a consistent come every saturday 9-5, which is good and wow ....15-20!!!

I've been thinking about doing something extra too, especially now that I'm off for the summer.

I hate going to the nail salon to sit and wait for an hour. I think it would be great if there was someone I could call who would come to my house to do my nails for me! I'd start out charging the same as the nail salons in your area, plus gas money. You could raise your prices as your business grows. If you also know how to do eyebrows, or learn, that would be a plus! I'd definitely pay extra for the convenience of having it done at my house!

Does anyone have any experience with Dove Chocolate Discoveries? I love chocolate, as do 99% of my friends, so I was thinking it might be a good side business!

How do you get started in something like the Pampered Chef? I have thought about maybe trying to do something like that. My aunt sells tupperware and has the parties and such so i am sure she would help me get started in the Tupperware stuff however Tupperware doesn't really interest me! Pampered Chef stuff is much more appealing!

thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
