Recommended Posts

Ha ha ha!

I have to still:

1) buy my dress

2)choose colours

3) find something for the groomsmen to wear

4) find something for the groom to wear

5) finalize my girls (still don't know who's able to make it out yet) then figure out what they'll wear

6) buy our rings

7) pay our deposits

cool.gif send out invites

9) figure out photography

Most importantly:

RESEARCH ON HERE TO FIND OUT WHAT ELSE I HAVE TO DO!

Oh man! I'm kinda far behind. :)

Perplexy - glad I'm not the only one a little behind! I have the same list of things to do.

so far I've done:

- finalized my bride's maids

- dress shopped once (think I found a dress)

- picked colors

- reserved the resort

- have a vendor for invites

- picked a honeymoon resort

- did a wedding checklist

need to do:

- pick suit for groom

- pick and buy dress for me

- pick bridesmaid's dresses

- book travel

- invitations (buy pick send)

- book a photographer

- everything! crap I'm running out of town. Especially if I am going to travel from Thanksgiving to Christmas/New Years....Wow! I'm tired thinking of it all!

I still have 10 months to get ready.

I have ordered my dress. It will be here in mid December.

I have picked my bridesmaids and ordered their dresses.

I am currently working on retaining a TA.

I have bought wedding favors.

I am currently collecting OOT stuff.

My invites are going to be messages in a bottle.I am collecting supplies.

Sending out STD passports in 2 weeks.

We just had our engagement party.

All the big stuff is....wait for it.... DONE!!

Attire-check

Vendors-check

Final payment-check

OOT/Welcome kits-check

Rings-check

Ceremony decor-check

All guests booked and paid for-check

Lots of little stuff like packing, mailing the travel reminders 5 weeks prior to departure, final dress fitting and tanning are left to do but it's nothing I can do in advance. Now it's all about the waiting game.

Whew, feels good!

Now what do I do for the next 6 weeks....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
