New Vendor - Destination Scout

Recommended Posts

It's going well, thanks for asking. I ran my first scouting trip to Tulum with two possible clients. We had a great time. You can read the trip report at http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...11-15-a-48981/

I really enjoyed going, and learning more about the area. The other couples really appreciated finding some locations they hadn't read about before.

In early November, I played a role as an intermediary between a hotel that did not have a website and the bridal party. I helped them make their reservations and transfer all of their money across the border without any drama. This is a huge issue with small vendors and I was glad that I could help.

I am in the process of finalizing plans for a wedding in May. We've made all of our decisions and are in the midst of paying all of our deposits. This is a huge win for the bride, who has just purchased her first home. We are six months away and she is able to enjoy being engaged instead of trying to finish planning her wedding.

Tulum is a great location and I love helping people find what they need in the area, but I'm ready for a new challenge. I'm waiting for someone to send me off into the wild.

I also wanted to add my review.  Malisa helped us take a scouting trip down to Tulum and ran our tooshies off, but in a very good way.  If she put that much effort into a quick 4 day trip I know we'll do well for a whole wedding.  You can read everywhere she had us go here

And you can just tell that she was trying to give us a sample of EVERYTHING without dictating what we should or should not like.  This is great, now if I can just save up enough money for fire spinners :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
