i absolutely agree with YOURSTRULY... your sister will always be your sister and you only get married once (hopefully) .. and I think taking time out to talk to her one on one about the fact that it WILL break your heart if she's not there for your special day! I understand if she was crying but that was her own bringing on because they are choosing not to come, so it was nice of you to appologize but you definitely didnt have to... I guess if it were me and i had said i was paying id be offended when they would cancell.. its like saying thanks but we just dont want to come...

I hope things work out for you and your sister at least will be able to be there for you. They don't know how lucky they are that it was all paid for them.

I have 2 sisters and 1 definately can't go because of the cost. The other will defo be there if she can and is waiting to see if the cost comes down. My brother got laid off work 2 months ago so it is also unlikey that he will be able to attend either and I fully understand this.

If we had the money to get them all there we would, but unfortunately we don't.

I really do hope things work out for you cos your sister would not have been crying if she really did not want to be there for you.

I feel so sad for you, especially with the wedding so close! I had a few people cancel at the last minute, and one of them was my very best friend whom I've known my whole life. I wish there was more I could've done, but you know you've done everything to get her there, which is amazing!

No matter if she's there or not, don't let it spoil your day! hug2.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
