Thanks for the information but we have already came across her blog and fell in love with her pictures. Del Sol has some great shots of the resort as well. The only issue we have is how much we want to spend on a wedding. We want it to be magical but do not want to break the bank. My fiance is busy with school and work so I do a lot of research to help us decide how we want our wedding so I guess that makes me a groomzilla j/k. Thanks everyone for the congrats and we hope to find a lot of useful information.

"groomzilla" - lol. I haven't seen that term on this forum... ummm ever! it's usually the other way around. cheesy.gif

As for making a DW affordable and perfect, it's totally possible. We did it 2 years ago and there have been plenty of brides since then whom have been able to accomplish the same. I'm pretty sure there's even a budget template if you do a search for it.

Best of luck planning your perfect wedding and welcome3.gif to BDW :0)

Well there has to be a first for everything right? We were so excited, thought we found the perfect place but cost was the uninvited guest. We were planning on getting married at the Xcaret Park but after getting a quote from the park we clearly realized that the place was not for us. I thought a 20000 dollar budget was enough for a destination wedding but it looks like it will cost a lot more if you want it to be different. I know we can have a beach wedding and spend less money than that but we were looking for something different and fell in love with the Xcaret Park. In addition we went there for a first year anniversary of dating so it was special but the minimum guest list and the cost of extras were too high. I will definitely look for the budget template, thank you.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
