I invited her yesterday too.... she told me she did not know much about fourms, so to get the word about her out there for her!! I figured I found about her through you, and there has to be more ladies that would love to get married in the USVI, so we can just let people know about her.... She is so nice!! My favorite thing about her was she called me back the FIRST day I emailed her!!!! She has answered all my questions within 24 hours of asking, most of the time sooner than that!

This was the email I send her:

Good Morning Again!!!!

I just wanted to ask you a few questions.

Do you have linen suits the groom and his men can rent? If so, how much are they and do you need their sizes before we go up there, or can they rent them the day before the wedding?

Can I ship my welcome bag supplies to you, so I do not have to bring it on the plane??

I will need hair and make-up for myself, four bridesmaids, and both of our mothers. How much will it be per person? If it is cheaper to go to the salon and get this done we will. The hair/make-up people do not have to come to us.

I will want pictures of Jared and I before the wedding separate, like us getting dressed, pics with the wedding party, etc. I do not think an hour will be enough. If I want pics before the wedding, during, and some after how long do you suggest I have a photographer? 2 hours? 3 hours?

What exactly does the videographer do? Will he just do the ceremony? Or will he be able to get Jared and I before the wedding and a little of the reception too??

How long will it take to receive the edited video? I will be having an at home reception on February 2, 2008. That will be exactly 3 weeks after the wedding. If I have to I will put a rush order on the pictures and video. Is that ok?

I will want to rent the Safari Bus you were talking about, for $200 to bring the wedding party back and fourth from the condos to the site.

How much is it to get a limo to just BRING me, my dad, and the four BMs to the sitehuh.gif We will ride back to the condos on the bus with everyone else.

I believe that is it, well at least for now! Thanks!!!

That is all I have been writing down to ask her. I am sure I will have more questions.... and YES this is WAY better than Brides!!!

What wedding site did you pick? where is everyone staying? I took Lindberg bay and all of my guest will stay at that Hotel. We will stay on the other side at the Mafolie and have the limo which we get for 2 hours pick us up. I have the photog for and additional hour so it will probably be the get ready pictures. Or TTD session. I can do those on our Anniversary. (gives me a reason not to get fatter) I want alot of island pictures of us. I dont know. i am just coming from under a financial strain and dont want to over extend myself and go back to whre I fought so hard to leave. Trying to keep it simple I might get the Chrystal package and let everyone be mad but tha package I know I can afford with teh extra hours for pictures.

Girl, I am keeping it simple too!!! I am only going to have the photog for an hour.... I just want a lot of island pics, and a few of the ceremony. As for the getting ready pics, my mom has a REALLY good camera and I am going to let her do that!!! She just told me that it will cost $200 per person to get their make-up and hair done!!! I was like WHAT!!! That is a little much! Considering I was going to pay for it! I just want the BM's to have their hair in a low messy bun with a flower in it.... And they can do their own make-up! Unless I can find a saloon on the island that is cheaper, which she said that was the cheapest! But I am thinking that she has to say that!I am going to have to send her the color chair coves I want and ribbon, cause she does not have Tiffany Blue anything! But ohwell! I will prob go ahead and book the photg for 2 hours... I dont know yet.....

I did not mean chair covers, I ment sashes..... I would ask her, but I am throwing a AHR, so I figured we could use them some where at that.... Yea, about that $200 per person for hair and make-up... I found it WAY cheaper at two different salons! I figured it would be a round $100 or so, and that is what I found. YAY!!!smile29.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
