Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Brides??

Recommended Posts

Yes, that totally helps thanks...and it makes sense.  I think we'll just let everyone know that we'll try and have tables reserved in the buffet area for the birthday supper for my BF and FI's daughter (which is more important for us to celebrate/acknowledge than a "welcome dinner" anyway) and talk to the WP ahead of time about a birthday cake.  Not sure if they'll go for that in the buffet area though.

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm wondering if anyone has mailed a package to the resort before?

I am thinking of mailing a package to the resort of my OOT items. the WC is happy to receive it but I'm hesitant in sending it by mail and having it arrive there.

Any ideas how I can get my OOT items to the resort?

I haven't looked into it at all...I just don't feel comfortable taking the chance.  We're flying with an airline that will allow each of us one suitcase + one carryon, and we can check another bag each for $20.  I'm hoping we can get all of our stuff into 4 suitcases and 2 carryons.  If not, we'll be asking my parents to take another suitcase for us.  I think for us it would be cheaper to spend $60 on 3 more suitcases with the airline than to pay the shipping/postage for all of our "welcome bag" items to Mexico.

I've given up...the absolutely essential things are done, only because my TA happily took the time to call down there.  With the couple of e-mails I've sent down myself, I've had no response.  When December rolls around and it's time to start firming up a few things, I'll try again or put my TA on it.

Hi ladies,  I also am looking at this resort for our wedding end of April early May 2011.  I found a great review on Trip Advisor http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g499445-d599193-r79801266-Grand_Sirenis_Riviera_Maya-Akumal_Yucatan_Peninsula.html   That maybe helpful.  Any other information that you have obtained on this resort and wedding packages I would greatly appreciate you passing on to me :)  I received a great quote for the resort side of things but have not heard back from the hotel yet for the wedding package pricing.  Kileelain, when is your big day?  Would be awesome to keep in touch with you and maybe exchange notes etc?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
