Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Brides??

I don't see any harm in getting the stuff in earlier- that way if there is any questions or they bring anything else to your attention you have time to make choices! I erally have to get on that- I really thought would get more done this summer but renovations and beach days have been eatting up my summer! Only three weeks left til back at school!

I just haven't finalized a lot of our music and such. And of course until our payment deadline my guest list may change. Yours is due in sept right for wedding in December? You are sneaking up on T minus 4 months. Omg aren't you excited?

My kids start school aug 18!!!

I have most stuff in order it's just finishing all the little stuff (tags, pre table letter, table signs etc) but most is bought

Wow! That is crazy! Do they get big breaks at other times of year?

I am really behind! I am hoping that when we go to Saskatoon tomorrow we will have time to stop at Michaels so I can get some coordinating paper to start some of the things wanted to make!

It's a modified year. So a week at thanksgiving and an extra at Christmas. I like it as makes daycare cheaper hehehe

Good luck! I like being under the gun as I work better under pressure but 4 months .. I'm so excited for you!!!!

The lady I know who married there in march used the spa for her hair and they all looked awesome.

I may do my own makeup and get a training session from MAC or may just pay them to do that too. But definately hair at spa.

I trust them but also no way I'm paying the external supplier fee

Hi! I am new to this board but am hoping to get married here in March 2015. I have been in contact with Maria but I think some things are getting lost in translation does anyone know how many rooms and nights our group has to stay in order to get the free wedding package? Also how many areas are there for a choice for the ceremony? Thanks!

Did you get all the wedding info? It's quite thorough and all in there. I can email if you'd like. I was told it's 10 double rooms for 7 consecutive nights to get the free wedding. This includes the ceremony on the public beach and the reception in an ala carte for 1.5 hours.

There is also the chapel and the private beach for ceremonies.

I upgraded to private beach for ceremony and reception in the palapa (private) for an extra cost.

Does that help? Let me know and I can elaborate more :)

Thank you! She sent me all of that but I didn't understand if everyone in those double rooms has to stay for seven nights. We have enough rooms, I jut don't know if all of my guests will stay for seven days! If you don't mind me asking...how much was it to upgrade to the private beach?

They definitely have to stay the 7 nights.  That's easy for us Canadians as we get packages of flight/hotel that are for 7 nights.

I am in Canada so these prices would vary depending on where you are.   I was told you can't just have the private beach for your ceremony that you had to upgrade your reception.  So to have the private beach/private palapa for reception the cost of just the rental was $980. This is for 3 hours (reception).  Once you upgrade to this location 10 people are NO longer included in the package so you have to pay per person for their meals.  We chose the cheapest which is a buffet for $32/person.    To extend the 3 hour rental you only pay to keep the bar open, which cheapest is about $8.45/hour/person.    Then we got extras like a DJ, and extra decor, etc.   It didn't end up being free by any means, but for us we didn't need the fluff of the bigger packages, we just upgraded to the things we definitely wanted.   Hope that helps some.

I was on here ages ago and didn't find any discussion from ladies that was current and now I came on and found all kinds of discussions! Where have you all been!??  :P  :P

I leave on Sunday!!! I saw someone else say they were a teacher, I am too, so this is the best time for me to travel. My fiance and I are heading down on Sunday with my parents, my sister and brother in law, and my aunt. We will be there as a group for one week. This will be a nice relaxing week before the chaos of the wedding party begins! Everyone else arrives next Sunday, August 3rd, and we are getting married on August 8.

We have 31 guests other than ourselves. We are so excited!! It is coming up so quickly!

After the wedding week and all of our guests leave, we will be heading across to Cozumel for a week where we will have our honeymoon!  :D

We have booked the Presidential package down by the Pallapa. We were very much planning on going with the Free package with a few upgrades but found that things really started to add up and it was only a few thousand dollars difference between 'making it work' and having everything you could possibly hope for! We will be paying around $7000 for everything... and did I mention how excited we are?

I have had excellent service from both Maria and Andrea and now I have been introduced to and am working with Lilian who is my wedding coordinator. I cannot tell you how incredible they have been to work with. So attentive and answering all of our questions, within a day at most!

We are using the resort photographer, they sent us a quote and a bunch of pictures that we were very impressed with so we are going to go with that. these are actual weddings photographed at Sirenis by the Adventure Photos group that is affiliated with the resort:

I will gladly give reviews and pictures once we are back. I can't wait to experience what promises to be the best holiday of our life.

Let me know if you have questions!

This is my dress. Ordered it custom made to fit me, and had it shipped from China all for $300.

I LOVE IT!

Can't wait to hear how it all went!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
