Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Brides??

My mum, sister and mother in law all had their makeup done by the spa. I backed out last minute. I'm like @@JoannaBanana and I watched so many videos and learnt a lot about makeup so I did my own:

@@nkavanaugh I have a pretty detailed list of what I used for my makeup in my review. Make sure you use some form of primer. In the heat and humidity primer is a must. I used smashbox photo finish priming spray, followed by Laura mercier foundation primer, and elizabeth Arden eye primer (urban decays eye primer is just as good), and then for foundation I just used I think it's Maybeline 3 in 1 foundation. I contoured and highlighted. Highlight I used Jaclyn hills champagne pop mixed with pearl from the paler she collaborated on with Becca (shimmering skin perfecter). I also used the blush in that pallet. It's a very shimmery pallet that gives a nice bridal glow. I did my eyebrows, eyeshadow, and used a gel eye line that was waterproof. I used Maybeline collosal mascara in waterproof. Then used Velour silk fluffed up false lashes. Make sure to finish off your makeup with some sort of finishing spray like urban decays all Nighter. It will prolong your makeup. My makeup looked great still when everything was over! Good luck!

Thanks for the makeup tips girls!! I appreciate them :) @@JoannaBanana I haven't heard of any of these new coordinators we have! I still haven't gotten a reply from mine so it seems like communication with Adriana was actually a little better. Past brides just curious did any of your guests end up in the rooms without the divider between the bathroom and beds?

I felt my communication slowed down some too haha! Sorry ladies!

No haven't heard of any of the new ones but I'm sure they are great

Yes we had guests without the divider and beware the list you send with room preferences isn't even looked at it seems. Rooms with 4 people got 1 bed etc. lots of hassles at check in and changing of rooms

Ah god I am sure check in will lead to me to have a small nervous breakdown then. Haha its bound to happen once. I personally don't care about the lack of divider but I know there is some people who will and I feel somehow responsible for everyone's happiness all week which is going to make things tough for me! Lol

The airport and check in was enough. I broke down in my room haha it's bound to happen as you said.

You aren't. We had some pretty big downers at our wedding. We let it slide off our back and let it be their issue. Enjoy your week! You picked a great resort. They got to see what it was about before they booked. Their happiness on vacation is their issue.

@@nkavanaugh my communications slowed down when Aranza was marked as my coordinator as well. But don't stress because once you get there and meet with them everything will go smoothly.

Like @@calgarybride2015 said, the room preference sheet isn't looked at. We requested 1 bed for all the single travelers and they all for 2 beds. One couple had to wait at check in for their room to be made up when we arrived and everyone's room but Kyle and I's had either frosted glass or an opening in the wall between the bed and bathroom. Kyle and I had a solid wall.

@@yycbride2016 Okay good to know I will try not to bombard her with emails, although it feels hard not to at this point. Lol

I have a few guests now commenting on the bathroom issue, which is a bit annoying because I am not sure what they want me to actually do about it and they knew this going in. Honestly being a people pleaser is just the worst sometimes. people are also trying to get rooms by certain people, etc. Our group is quite large at 103 people so requests are starting to overwhelm me a bit.

@@calgarybride2015 & @@yycbride2016 after you guys submitted all the paper work for music, guestlist etc was there much communication from them at all? I feel like there is still so much to figure out. Did you make spa appointments for your bridesmaids and yourself before you got there?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
