Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Brides??

Recommended Posts

My Fiance and I are seriously considering this resort for our feb 2011 wedding but, we can't find any information on weddings that they offer. Also, it seems like there hasn't been many on BDW to marry here. Should this be a red flag for us?

I am just wondering if anyone has gotten married here recently. We have stayed here before and had a wonderful time. I am looking to go February 2011, but we still haven't picked our location. Does anyone have the price list for the wedding packages? How was the wedding?

Any help would be appreciated.

Yey! We finally booked our location -- here, at the Grand Sirenis, March 3, 2011 (well, we're hoping for that date anyway... MIL is a travel agent, so she's going to do all the paper-worky stuff tomorrow). We're paying $1450 (+$250 tax) to fly from BC to Cancun, a 7-day stay. We're going via Air Transat so we'll buy the $1000 wedding package.

So excited!!

Congrats on your decision. I just got the prices from the hotel for wedding packages, but they seem really high compared to the Air Transat packages. Has anyone used the packages from Air Transat? I am interested to see how they worked out.

I would love a copy, too! My email is melaina_h(at)hotmail.com

Thanks :)

I haven't heard anything negative about the AirTransat weddings. In fact, I'm pretty sure that it's the same services as you'd get if you booked directly with the hotel (same coordinator, cake choices, etc). Once I get the AirTransat package details, I'll email it to you.

Thanks for sending the info, Corbeil. You're right -- the hotel rates really do seem high (even considering the shortened dinner and lack of Minister fees in the Transat package). That said, comparing the list of Air Transat offerings to hotel offerings, these are the items included in the hotel package that I'll probably have to purchase and add onto my package:

Music during ceremony

DJ afterwards

Romantically decorated wedding location

Other "perks" they list, like VIP bathroom amenities (LOL) or surprise premium gift from hotel management, are definitely not worth the extra cost, though.

Let me know what you decide -- maybe I'll see you down there!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
