@@calgarybride2015 Oh good to know about the lanterns! I will definitely be using theirs one way or another then, I wont bother buying my own. I've emailed Adrianna to find out about the packages for the girls, I have so much guilt about having them spend anymore then they already are! Lol

 

Is there any upcoming or past brides that did the Catholic Ceremony? We are doing that and I am trying to get more information on it. In terms of whether or not there is readings, communion or a rehearsal?

 

I totally understand 100%.  I told them it was their choice and no one had any issues paying it. Most wanted their expertise and products to hold up in the humidity!

Hello ladies,

 

So as some of you know my wedding is in may and I've visited the resort in December to get a better sense of pretty much everything.

 

To answer the question about the Catholic ceremony, I've asked Adriana for a script and if I receive it, I will share with you. I wasn't aware of a rehearsal, so I doubt they have one, but I'd be interested to know. Also, you'll have to do the Catholic course and brijf your certificate with you in order for the Grand Sirenis priest to perform the ceremony. That's pretty much all I know Hope it helps.

I can't speak for a Catholic ceremony but with the symbolic there is no rehearsal. The WC directs everyone on the day of. The rehearsal dinner included in some packages is just that - a dinner.

I haven't worked with Aranza but the whole wedding office is so helpful, I am sure she will be awesome.

 

I can send some photos of my cake and the laterns. We had 6 men and 5 women in our wedding party and they were able to accommodate that for our head table.

I had The Tiffany chairs and didn't add anything to them bc they are nice on their own.

@Caddya That would be awesome!! I did hear back from Adriana and she says the wedding coordinator will go over the readings, let us choose music etc for in the church, her exact response is this;

 

. Do we get to do a rehearsal ceremony with the Priest? Do you have an outline of how the Catholic Ceremony goes? (i.e is their readings, communion, etc?)

A.- Your Wedding coordinator will do a brief explanation of this once you are at the property, you are able to choose the religious songs you want, the readings and if you want someone t oread, as well.
 
Do you know if the ceremony is considered legal? I asked her about bringing a marriage certificate and she said it wasn't needed, I also asked about blood work and she said we didn't need it that it was only necessary for legal ceremonies. This leads me to believe we also have to plan a legal wedding here now, any in sight into that?
 
We also submitted all our paper work for the catholic ceremony but they keep requesting more it is stressing me out a bit lol.

@emjay84 thank you for the pictures!!! that looks gorgeous, I was going to order a huge overlay for the cake table, good thing I haven't yet! Has anyone else ordered runners or overlays? What dimensions did you guys use?

@@nkavanaugh the Catholic ceremony is not considered legal unless you ask for both a Catholic and a legal ceremony (and you pay extra). We've had our legal ceremony in Canada a few months ago and invited our parents and wedding party only. So it's up to you... You can do it at home or set something up in Mexico. If you do decide to do in Mexico I believe you'll need to bring all the paperwork with you and get the bloodwork done as well. Hope this helps.

@Caddya Thanks for the info girl! I guess we will plan something here! I am not sure why I just assumed it was legal, looks like we will have to get planning! What is your wedding date? I cant wait to hear how the ceremony goes! So in terms of the Church it seems like our marriage will be valid in that sense correct?

@@nkavanaugh Not a problem! Yes, my understanding is that the Catholic Ceremony is recognized once you return to Canada (assuming you've done the Catholic courses and have the certificate). My wedding day is May 24th :)

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners.
