Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Brides??

Recommended Posts

I paid for the cheapest as we had a lot of extra open bar! No one complained that I know of. There was still a lot of selection - hard liquor, beer, frozen cocktails, mojitos and all the fancy drinks GS has. Plus shots galore. Our friends brought clam as they don't have that.

For the GS I believe I saw a list of what was included in each. I don't think the lowest price got less booze available just wasn't the premium brands of what they did have.

Thanks! My only reservation is making sure there's decent Scotch / whiskey as we have some big drinkers in our bunch. Every other kind of alcohol I'm sure I'll be happy with whatever they include in the cheapest tier.

I'll probably get in touch with the resort to see what Scotch is included. Thanks again!

I am sure I was given a list of what was included in each, did you have a peak in the general info handouts you have?

If not, def email them. They may just give you a scotch upgrade without having to pay for the bigger brands.

Good luck

Yes it's just different liquor for each level, i remember the top tier was like grey goose and middle was absolut, Bombay - we went with the middle one.

Do any of you previous or upcoming brides know the measurements of the head table? I imagine its kind of a rectangle shape, trying to figure out what to do for table runners? Also was the cake table circular or square and any dimensions on that? I cant decide whether to do a runner or a table cover. It is so hard figuring out this décor stuff!!! I am open to any suggestions!! Were the chairs nice enough that chair covers or sashes weren't necessary?

Can I also be a pain and ask to see the Palapa decorated from those who have already been there? Maybe that will make it easier for me to determine how much I actually need to do.

Hey!

Head table is a rectangle but size depends on how many people you have sitting at it - it's sized based on that! Both my cake and guestbook table where square tables. Sorry I have no measurements but I'm sure the WC would send them. I'd probably do the white clothes they provide and do a runner. They also offer both to rent in various colors but unsure on cost but feel confident the prices are on their list

The chairs that come in the normal packages are like plastic lawn chairs so you'd need the covers (which come free anyways). They are pretty basic without the chair bows so would recommend those. You could upgrade to the Tiffany chairs but I recall them being pricey. I think that's what you get though in the presidential package.

I have photos in my review and planning thread but could email you some. I have a good wide shot that will at least show you main tables. Not much decor is needed. It's beautiful on its own.

I think the Chinese lighted lanterns are worth the rental.

@@calgarybride2015 Thank you for the quick reply! I just sent off an email to Adrianna with a list of questions, she hasn't gotten back to my last few emails so I am really hoping to hear something back before the end of the week, I am sure this is a very busy time for them! I kind of cant wait to be assigned a wedding coordinator in the hopes that communication improves just a bit.

I have the presidential package so I will have to ask if those chairs are included! If they are I probably wont do chair sashes!

I have debated buying some Chinese lighted lanterns to bring with me, did you think the price was okay? I have to dig out my paper work and check!

Did your bridesmaids do their hair and makeup in the salon? How was the pricing?

Thanks again you are always so helpful! I am going to creep on your review now! Lol :)

I am fairly certain those chairs are unless the packages have changed since I got married.  It will be in the info packages for sure :)  If you can't get a reply back from Adrianna, I can see if my WC knows - she is on my FB!

If you get your own lanterns they will hang them around the parameter of the palapa not from the 'ceiling' It's a pretty tall ceiling so my guess is that it's just too dangerous and labor intensive for a WC to get up there. We had a Dec 2014 bride on here who brought her own and that's where they hung hers.  For 10 lanterns inside was about $100, seems steep but they were beautiful.  Maybe on site try to ask for them for free? hahah I was debating them even up to my WC meeting so she threw them in!

Yes all 4 of us went to the salon!  Considering they truly get the same service as the bride it kind of sucks I paid more haha!

They had a special on for the girls, which they may just do all the time to up sell, which was maybe around $130 for hair/makeup.  It was either 1200 or 1600 pesos. Sorry it was awhile ago.  Nonetheless they do an AWESOME job!

@@calgarybride2015 Oh good to know about the lanterns! I will definitely be using theirs one way or another then, I wont bother buying my own. I've emailed Adrianna to find out about the packages for the girls, I have so much guilt about having them spend anymore then they already are! Lol

Is there any upcoming or past brides that did the Catholic Ceremony? We are doing that and I am trying to get more information on it. In terms of whether or not there is readings, communion or a rehearsal?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
