Quite jealous.  That cake cataloge is WAY better than the one I saw for our January wedding!!!!   I would have totally chose one of those.   I had the free package and got a square cake though - I am sure they are flexible!    I also didn't get more than vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry filling!

I haven't looked at them yet...I'm trying to get the invites out first, and the catalogs will be step #2 :)

Feel free to list your choices as you pick them. I'll do the same myself.

By the way, one of the travel agents said that the price guarantee option (i.e., if prices drop they'll match it) does not work well for groups because in order to reprice they would have to "re-purchase" the tickets for the entire group. Has anyone heard about that, and have you ladies had this feature on the tickets?

We didn't have an airline that did a price drop, but from other brides on here I do know what you are speaking of.

This is how I understand it - Basically if the price drops the only way you can do it is to 're-purchase' the entire block of tickets -- and ALL those rooms still have to be available within the hotel.   So if you all have a standard room and have 50 rooms booked, when you want to do the price drop the resort HAS to have 50 standard rooms available outside of the ones you already have booked. If they don't, you can't do the price drop.  That's why it's trickier because you are dealing with a lot more rooms.  Larger hotels should be easier though than smaller hotels with less rooms.

I could be wrong, but that's what I recall reading on here in the past.  I'll see if I can find the bride who did it and get her to chime in :)

  • 2 weeks later...

Kids under 12 get a more kid appropriate meal. We didn't get a kids menu either but I believe my kids had cheeseburgers and fries and the other had chicken fingers and fries. There may be a spaghetti like dish too. Trying to remember if I gave her the selections at our onsite meeting. None the less it's a small menu - maybe just fire off a quick email to see what the options are now :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
