Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Brides??

Recommended Posts

Hmm, that's really interesting. I was thinking 5 ceremony, 6-7 cocktail. 7 dinner. I'm positive that has to be a typo about dinner. How large is your group?

That's what we did for our layout. Worked perfect. With 45 people was perfect time :)

Thanks ladies, I emailed them last night with my response. We have about 70 guests including us there :)

If anyone would like me to post the menus from the restaurants for rehearsal dinner then let me know and I'll do so.

That's a good number!!! You will definately need 2 hours! If you are doing group and family photos those in themselves will take time. We had 45 people and those took a good 30 mins on there own. I highly recommend you make a list of all those group/family photos you want and give them to someone to usher people around. My MC (brother in law) did and he was just perfect. He'd call out who was next and get everyone together. Made it go smooth and nothing got missed. Your head will be out of the game so it's best not to rely on yourself for that :) let us know what they say.

@@emjay84 We will have about 70 guests as well. I would love if you could share the menus. Where are you having your reception dinner? I wanted to do it in the Palapa, however we are getting married on a Wednesday, and unfortunately the Palapa isn't available.

This goes out to the whole group:

We are having our reception dinner in one of the restaurants - probably the Italian Restaurant. It will be private which is good. We want to have a DJ and our first dances in there as well. Has anyone done this/heard of anyone having a DJ and their first dances etc in one of the restaurants?

Thanks!

Alex

Hey Alex @@AlexC

Recently I haven't heard of anyone using the restaurant for the reception, but that could be because they didn't have a package that supported it.  I believe Gold and higher you can have it privately with a DJ and dancing, but the silver and free packages are semi-private -- that could be why they chose to do the 'after party' package instead (the one at the beach or health bars).

If you have the package that is private, I say go for it!!!!  You can easily move from dinner to the dancing!!  It would be air conditioned as well which would be super nice. We were sweating in the palapa!!

Do you have the menu for the Italian Restaurant? That's where I'm requesting my rehearsal dinner.

I have a question about the length of the symbolic ceremony. I am not a wedding guru and have no idea how long these take. Specifically I'm just trying to get enough time for photographs with my family and the bridal party before the reception.

My timeline right now looks like this (on the Palapa Beach): 4pm ceremony, 5-6pm live music, champagne and apps, 6pm reception starts.

It also looks like the sun will set at 607pm.

Is my guess off to say (if the ceremony starts on time) it will only take 15 minutes or so?

Hey hey :) I'm posting the menus for you to look at. I heard the ceremonies are about 30 minutes in length. post-281203-144407742511_thumb.jpgpost-281203-14440774393_thumb.jpgpost-281203-144407744672_thumb.jpg

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
