Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Brides??

I don't sorry :( and the kids club I think only goes 9-5pm. Unless that's what you meant but I do believe you can also pay for sitters. I'd ask the wedding department or send an email thru the GS website. I did that for some of the basic resort questions :)

Hello everyone,

My name is Diana and I'd like to say that it's so wonderful to read about your experiences and be able to share knowledge in one place.

My FI and I got legally married in Toronto and we're considering having our symbolic wedding at this resort. I'm a little worried about the size of the beach and I was wondering if any of you have seen volleyball nets set up (we're big into sports and I want to ensure that our guests have a good time).

Thank you all!

Diana

Welcome and congrats.

There is definately a volleyball net set up. I don't have a picture of it but it's to the left of the main beach area. We had guests play all day, they loved it.

They also have volleyball nets in the pools and tonnes of activities.

There is also the sports room which I didn't spend time in but my kids played pool in there.

Lots of stuff to do!!!

This is wonderful news! Thanks for getting back to me so quickly!

I have seen some old posts regarding fees at the a-la-carte restaurants. Has anyone been in this situation: pay ~$35 to dine a-la-carte (unrelated to the wedding day)?

One other thing..I was provided with the Private Events Menu and I was wondering if anyone picked this menu? Do you pick one appetizer, one soup, etc for all of your guests, and is the choice of Surf & Turf in addition to the main course selection?

The Presidential Package seems to charge us for the extra guests based on the menu we pick; however, there are other fees listed in the Private Events Menu for each person - would these be on top?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated, but if you haven't experienced this, don't sweat it - I'll e-mail Adriana.

Thank you all!

No problem!

The only a la carte that isn't included in the all inclusive is the French one. It has a fee but most of the wedding packages include it for the bride and groom.

I honestly had the beach BBQ buffet for my wedding so not too too sure about the picking of items. Sorry.

What other fees are you speaking too? I didn't have the presidential package but had the palapa so I had to pay for everyone. If you package includes the 10 then what you pay over and above is the menu you choose per person. That includes everything - toast, appies, meal, cake, and booze for the length included in your package. To extend the reception you pay per person per hour for booze.

Things may have changed since January though. Hopefully the couple brides currently planning weddings there are jump in.

Thanks! That makes a lot of sense.

I'll let everyone know about the Private Events menu once Adriana responds to e-mail.

I figured it out. :)

For all the brides-to-be out there...the fee quoted in the Presidential Package says "from 555 pesos per person for each extra guest if selecting Private Events Menu" ...meaning that in addition to the Presidential Package, if you choose the

- Surf & Turf with Salmon it's 555 pesos for each extra guest;

- Surf & Turf with Shrimp it's 715 pesos for each extra guest;

- Surf & Turf with Lobster it's 870 pesos for each extra guest

Hope that clarifies it for everyone.

I'm thinking of the chair ribbons - I'd like to get colorful ones and I was wondering ...have you ladies used the same ribbons from the Ceremony for the Reception, or did you have to pay again to be able to use them in the Reception?

No you only pay once. The chairs are physically moved from the beach to the palapa so it's the same chairs :)

Lying on my couch feeling ill today so it's nice to see your questions :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
