Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Brides??

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone! so great to read everyone's reviews - congrats to all the brides out there.

We are on the Mayan Beach side and have requested people to stay in the Naab or Makal buildings *unless they want to otherwise.. that way it's close to pool. Anyone have reviews on how the pool is by the Mayan Beach side? We have a group of 25 people who are between 25-40 years old so we're looking forward to some fun in the sun :)

Does anyone have reviews of Presidential Suite for wedding night. My fiancé and I receive that Suite for wedding night, is it fabulous?

We are getting married in the Palapa - can't wait to plan all the decor and fine details closer to the date - November 7, 2015 !!!

Also - I'm debating booking a photographer to travel with us (we can get a decent price here... basically price of trip plus a few extra hundred because we know him)..... or potentially book a photographer out of Playa Del Carmen.... but I find the quotes I see online are very expensive 2500+++.... Anyone have experience with either or?

While both the regular pools are loud I may say that the Mayan beach side is louder and it also has different - crazier!!! - activities during the day. It's got the ice cream parlor right there too. We only spent one day there as our pool was obviously closer but our guests on the Mayan side had a blast there.

I used one of the resort photographers. I requested Perla who works for adventure photos and also has her own company. My second runner up was Samual Luna. Just have to decide your price point and if their style matches yours :) good luck.

Enjoy!! The palapa was nothing short of awesome.

I didn't see the president suite as i didn't book that package but it's had nothing but raving reviews.

I loved your review! I too was reading it aloud to my fiancé and every so often had to stop to gather myself! I'm so glad it was as wonderful as you hoped! Only 38 days til ours. Random question, but what did you think about the beach? And the pools? I think this is where we will be spending all of our time. :0)

Hey Everyone! Congrats to all the new brides-to-be who just confirmed their bookings :) Quick question, how stable is the Palapa in terms of the wooden floor and wearing high stiletto heels? I don't want to fall flat on my face and in case it's uneven or has holes a heel could get stuck in - i would rather wear cute flat sandals (which I'll do on the beach anyway) and tell my bridesmaids the same.

Thanks!

Hey not sure I can help. Don't think anyone had stiletto type heals at my wedding - only flats or wedges. Don't recall it being uneven like some of the paths around the resort hehe but gaps between the boards hmmmm I have to say I feel you'd be fairly safe but you'd probably want some flats anyways if you plan to dance all night like we did :) I'll take a closer look at my pics and see if I can get a close up of the floor but I'm 99.9% sure you'd be safe.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
