Thank you! Had a mild panic attack thinking we were all going to be incompletely different hotels!!!

Nope but possibly completely different 'blocks'. Each side has like 9 or 10 individual 3 story buildings. I think different airlines get different rights to each side. I know we are at the riviera maya but another quote I had was for the Mayan side.

What did everyone pay for their bridemaid's bouquets?
I had 3 gerbaras, greenery and white ribbon quoted at approx $22 Canadian each. Perfect!

I asked for a requote for 4 gerbaras and the price is now $45.  1 gerbaras made the price jump double?!?!?!

The new lady is Kenya and I asked her why but haven't heard back.  If that is the case I will stick to the 3 gerbaras!

Also, for those who used the spa, do you recommend a hair/makeup trial?  I have short hair and have pictures but curious.

I think I could do the hair trial, but not sure I want to do both as it's pretty pricey (not much cheaper for the trial!).    Am I fairly safe?  @@Okotoksbride any thoughts?

Thanks ladies.

OK got the flowers sorted out.  She apologized that she didn't know I had been previously quoted for my bouquets.  They will add 1 more flower for about $4. I can suck that up!   but wow on the inconsistencies, good thing all the wonderful ladies on here recommend you bring all your emails!!

Hia GS brides! I am wondering if anyone has been able to have something delivered to the hotel wedding co-ordinator? We want some wedding favours delivering there but not sure if this is possible?

Thanks

I didn't even ask because I have heard shipping stuff to Mexico can be a complete nightmare.  Doesn't make it at all or is late, then I have heard that customs can pick thru it and you don't even get all your stuff.     As for them storing it? would be worth an email to find out.

Are you thinking of shipping to Mexico or just a delivery of something you purchased in Mexico?

Hello Kim, it was something I wanted to purchase from a supplier in Mexico to be shipped to the GS, so all shipping would be within Mexico. The items would then be wedding favours so I would only take a few of them home personally (like buying a keepsake from holiday I suppose) . I think I will email GS and ask if it is a possibility & keep my fingers crossed :)

Hopefully. I want handmade/hand painted personalised maracas and matching fans. They are impossible to come by in the UK! xx

Oh they sound lovely. We are also doing maracas and fans :) I've seen the ones done by Mexican companies and they are beautiful, your guests will love them.

Can anyone past or present confirm if we pay tax on top of our package or if it is included?
I have read thru everything more than once and I can't see a note of it anywhere.

The reason I ask is because I know of other women marrying in Mexico who have paid around 16% and I want to budget for that, as it's a lot of extra!

I have emailed Kenya  but haven't heard back (new WC answering emails)....

3 months today!

thanks ladies,

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
