Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Brides??

Recommended Posts

Ahhh I see. I have heard mixed reviews about the salon...one of the guests at my wedding is a hair stylist so I got lucky. I think te spa would be good tho...plus a nice experience!

I haven't heard any bad reviews but could have missed some in this thread.  To be honest, I have a short bob, so I don't need much done so I am not overly worried.  The companies you can hire are cheaper for my BM's, but not for me.  I am debated a trial but with my short hair not sure it's a big deal.

That's awesome for you!

Who did you chose for photos?

So I booked and Kenya says that she needs the list of people that are coming. We have only just sent the invites out though because we only just confirmed our date so obviously no one has booked yet. Did you get anything else that you needed to book when you booked? You said that you got the extra price list but I didn't get anything like that...maybe it's because I am 6 months out....

Our good friend is a photographer so we are having him do our pictures! We are very lucky...photographers are expensive!

When I booked 9 months in advance I got all the extra price lists, all the cake pictures, flower pictures, guest list spreadsheet, form for all our wedding choices (times, cake, flowers, DJ, etc), one for bridal party, one for hair styles, etc.

I was told they had to be sent in 3 months before our wedding - so main one with all our options, menus, extras etc, the guest list one, bridal party, hair one etc.

I wasn't told to send them sooner and how? Like you said you have no idea your guest list. No one has asked me for them yet and I've confirmed twice (yes twice due to staff changeover) that my palapa upgrade was confirmed lol

Sure but to be safe I should get your email! I honestly can't remember everyone I've sent info too so don't be offended. Thanks :)

Ok for some reason I am having a really stupid moment. This place is the grand sirenis Mayan each hotel and spa right?

I have been seeing two grand sirenis hotels on line. My travel agent says that there are two sides...but I am worried that I screwed it all up...

There are 2 on 1 site but you have access to all facilities. Rooms we have are on the riviera maya side. But there is also another set of rooms on the Mayan beach side. But I've been told I can go between the 2 as we please.

Ok so which one is which? And the wedding coordinators are for both right?

Also is one any better than the other?

Ummm as far as I know it's one in the same! The rooms for the Mayan side I believe are the beach front ones but don't quote me on that. Look up their resort map on google. But doesn't matter which one you stay at you get all the same stuff except a different check in location. Since all services are the same I wouldn't worry about which side you are on. If the Mayan side has the beach front and you are on the riviera maya side just ask to upgrade to a fancier room.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
