Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Brides??

Recommended Posts

I am getting married December 30, 2013 at this resort and have finally decided it is time to buckle down and get my act together! We haven't really started planning anything yet...! I am so nervous about the photographer!! At first the photos I seen were actually quite nice, but now that photographer is no longer a part of their team! The new photographer sent me photos of previous weddings he has done there and they are not quite what I was expecting for my wedding day! They looked like my father had taken the pictures (no offense to my dad!) - no retouching and definitely did not look professionally down. Itâ€s down to the wire and I am trying to find a photographer that is not too pricey just in case we are left stuck paying the $300 vendor fee. I have emailed a few photographers but so far 1 is available and they do absolutely beautiful pictures however they come with a very hefty price tag ... ($3000 -$3500 for 5 hours)!! There is just no way I am willing to pay that much for pictures! I need some help from you ladies! Who did you use for a photographer or who are you planning on using?

Hi Chantelle,

I think its because we're getting married at the Palapa location (the one included in the presidential package) as its about 5/6 mins on golf cart from the resort it doesn't get WIFI. Marcela has been helpful though and offered her phone if needed, but my step-dad is going to log his work iPad onto 3G (I'm not sure about you but this costs a fortune from the UK - but he'll be charging it back to work hopefully!)

Anyway we fly out tomorrow, and the wedding is this time next week so I will let you know how we manage to get around it!

I will also scope out the bars and let you know.

We just got confirmation today that we have the Mexican restaurant for our rehersal dinner, we gave our top 3 (about 2 months ago) and this was our number one, thought we'd keep it authentic as it will be our first night there!

Will get some piccies up and full review when I return!!

We did...it was a member of the entertainment crew from the resort who was brought in and he was HORRIBLE. If you've got a big/younger group in particular who is looking to really whoop it up, I would outsource!!! : )

That's what we did...we had it all ready to go on our iPad...but he had other ideas I guess. Just make it very clear to your wedding planner that their DJ is being asked to play ONLY the songs on your playlist.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
