I have a question for any previous brides - we're going for the Presidentual package, but I wondered what is included in the ceremony set up, the brochure says 'romantic decoration' so does that include all the hanging flowers etc that are on the gazebo, and how about colour ribbons etc on the gabezo do you know if you have to pay any extras with this package?

Also as I understand it bridesmaids bouquets aren't included so I know we'll need to pay extra for these, but with regards to the brides bouquet can you have any flowers, or do they have set bouquets and you have to pay extra for certain flowers?

Thanks!

For flowers there is a catalogue that explains it, the standard offering for Pres. package is really nice, stay within if you can because any of the upgraded "exotic' choices are ridiculous.  The flowers were just find from the standard so that's what we went with. If you look at my review, the only upgrades we purchased for the actual ceremony set-up was: The coral chair bows, The White runner and two bags of roses sprinkled on top of the runner. (*the mason jars, programs and fans were our own).  So, pretty sweet setup with the Pres package.  I think the extras we got came out to about $250 or something?

Hi Mitchieline,

It depends which package you go for, they have 4 options depending on what you want included -

There is a free ceremony (but you have to pay $6,500 pesos for legal fees if you want legal)

Silver package - £26,000 pesos (about $2,000 USD)

Gold package - $40,000 pesos ($3,700)

Platinum package - $61,000 pesos ($4,800)

Presidentual package - $67,000 pesos ($5,300)

I can email you the package brochure if you let me have your email address otherwise I think you can get the info on the website.

I believe the resort photographer is Foto Caribbean - http://www.fotocaribbean.com.mx/

I have read mixed reviews about them!

  • 4 weeks later...

Hi everyone,

My fiance and I are down to 2 resorts for our end of March/beginning of April 2014 wedding.  I'm really loving all the reviews and tips that everyone is giving for this resort and is slowing starting to inch ahead of everything else!

If anyone has any of the catalogues (even if its from a year or two ago) it would greatly appreciated!   We are hoping to book the presidential package, but we are going over Manitoba spring break so hopefully it (the presidential suite) will still be available by the time we book it!

Thank you!

Janelle

Hi Janelle,

I don't think I can attach on here but Fernanda (who I think has taken over from Yeni as wedding coordinator) just sent me some catalogues for the Presendial package a couple of days ago which I can send you if you let me know your email address

Gorgeous wedding! Your pictures were amazing! All the details turned out beautifully!

I actually used your antiqued treasure chest idea - thank you! I will have to send you pictures when I get a chance.

Just a quick question - I was reading through your review and noticed that you didn't finish your story about the presidential suite. You ended off talking about how it was a bit of a problem to get the presidential suite, but you didn't include what problems you ran into and how you ended up getting the presidential suite?

Thanks for taking the time to write out your review - it's very helpful!

Chantel

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
