Hi ladies,

I am new to this site as we just got engaged in December and we are now planning our wedding at the Sirenis for Dec. 18th, 2013. We've been to the resort before and I just started talking to one of their wedding coordinators Yeniza. So far, so good but she won't share the flowers or restaurants catalogues with us until we put our deposit down. I'm still waiting on the booking information from our tour operator before we make our deposit - could someone email me if they have copies of these items? Sgreen99 or MaiLuna maybe? My email is cassieopikokew@hotmail.com. As I'm new to the board I haven't had enough time to do the 150 posts to become a supporter but I'm dying to see what the flowers, cakes and restaurant packages look like! Any information would be greatly appreciated. And congrats to those of you have have weddings coming up right away!!!

Thanks,

Cassandra

Hello,

Does anyone know if there is any seating/benches near the Palapa that is already onsite that we don't have to pay extra for? I have elderly guests and I want to make sure they are comfortable. I know that you can rent the lounge furniture but thought I would see if there is already something on the beach. I am not worried about how it looks just want to make sure they have somewhere to sit while waiting for entry into the Palapa.

Did anyone rent an extra golf cart? We are considering it but weren't sure if it was necessary. We have approx 32 guests. Any info on this would be great!

I am looking at the bride's bouquet and bridesmaids bouquets.. does anyone have an info or pictures on these? I was thinking of getting the small size for the girls and the medium sized for myself. The brochure that i was sent only has photos of the medium and large sizes.

Also, we really want to have paper lanterns hanging in the Palapa. Has anyone rented the ones the have at the resort? If so does the cost of renting them include the set up fee?

Thanks!!!

Nicole

Any info on this would be great!  I didn't but kind of wished I had.  At the end of the night we had to wait for a golf cart to come pick us up and it was probably at least 15 minutes or so, about half of the group ended up walking back.  The golf cart was also late picking me up from the spa for the ceremony.  Pick up was scheduled for 4 pm and it was about 4:20 before I was picked up, it was fine though, nothing was going to happen without me!

Thanks!!!

Nicole

Does anyone know which methods of payment they accept for the wedding? I'm not interested in bringing that much cash on me, and I think you can only take out a certain amount per day at the banking machine they have.

We are leaving in 39 days & trying to finish up last minute details/concerns!

Thanks!

My guests were from 3 to 80 years of age and we were so glad we rented the white furniture and tables for them. The cabochon chairs that were sitting on the beach for the ceremony were moved into the palapa space shortly after we left the group to take photos. It would have been a long three+ hours for our guests had that white furniture not been there - plus it was a great area to dance and listen to the mariachi trio while staff were doing last minute prep up in the palapa. We rented two sets for our 32 guests and my Dad said he "wished they would have put more of the white furniture out"...but he didn't realize how much we had paid just for the two sets!

We didn't...but then I'm not sure if perhaps one was included with our Presidential package...we were swept away in the cart after the ceremony for pics and the cart and driver stayed with us the whole time to drive us and the photographers around. The guests all stayed on the beach and visited while we were off getting pictures. We had no issues with rides before the ceremony for our guests or at the end of the night.

I just took a couple of photos of bouquets I really loved and they sent them on to the florist to price out when we arrived. I paid extra for mine because of the orchids in it...the shape was what I had requested, but flower-wise it looked quite different with the chartreuse colour added to it. But I loved it nevertheless!

Sorry, can't help with this...

Thanks!!!

Nicole

I did have something about lamps, I had asked Yenezia about bringing my own and she said " In the hotel you have to pay $100.00 pesos for each lamps, if you want to bring it, you have to pay $50.00 each pesos by the installation"

So I am thinking we will just buy them there, we leave friday and I didn't end up purchasing any lamps.  I'll show photos of what we do end up with!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
