I am trying to get my invitations together for our wedding. We will be getting married in Cozumel during a Carnival Cruise. Can any of you let me know how you worded your invites? We plan to get married on the shore with a reception on board after, but I'm not sure how to word the where and when on the invite.

THANKS.

My invitations wording is:

Together with their families

Me

and

FH

Request the honor of your presence

On Saturday, the fifteenth of August

Two thousand and nine

At half past ten in the morning

As they set sail on life's greatest voyage

And tie the knot aboard the

Carnival Destiny, Port of Miami

Reception to follow

My response card wording is:

Take the helm and respond by July 1, 2009

M___________

__ You beach ya' we'll be there for the wedding!

__ Ahoy mateys, we'll set sail with you all week!

__ Sorry, we're docked somewhere else that day.

Then I added a little card reminding people about the wedding website for the rest of the details. I like the way I did the response cards but most people who are sailing with us checked off both of the yes responses so it could have been a little more clear. HTH

I used the following wording for my invitations:

Together with their parents

ME

And

HIM

Request the pleasure of your company

Aboard their wedding cruise

On Princess Cruise Line's Ruby Princess

Departing on Saturday, the ninth of January

Two thousand and ten

From Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA

Ceremony to take place

Tuesday, the twelfth of January

At Bluebeardâ€s Beach

On the island of St. Thomas, USVI

Because I used a pocket fold invite, I'll look to include a note that an invitation to our AHR will follow. Unfortunately we are unable to plan our AHR until after our cruise as my FI is in the military and we're not certain as to when he will be available (it was a big struggle for us to be able to secure our wedding date because of their scheduling).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
