Bachelorette Ideas?

Recommended Posts

We did a restuarant crawl. We went to one restaurant for sangria and tapas, which we ate at the bar. Then another for the main course - Mexican with margaritas. We then went to a different one for dessert - it is an upscale dinner and had banana splits. It was fun and gave us a chance to experience different restaurants.

I was a MOH for my best friend who got married last month... we did a Vegas weekend which was so much fun but the best part was this. We decked her out with a naughty veil, a sash, rhinestone stickers, garter etc. All of us tied bachelorette part caution tape around different parts of our body, some the arm, some the leg, ankle, waist, hair etc. I bought glow bracelets which were the hit of the party I got at Michaels for 15 for $1. We put a bunch of them on and headed out to a club.

The theme was truth or dare, but everything really was a dare. I spent time compiling list of bachelorette dares online, they have free lists at some websites. We were outside on the patio of a club and did dares out there, within an hour we had the whole outside area looking over at us and offering to help and getting in on all the dares, it was the most fun I've ever had in my life. =)

My friend's sister went bungee jumping for hers, it depends on how adventurous the bride is though. Last weekend I went to a joint bachelor/bachelorette party (in the afternoon, they split off into the guys and girls at night) and we did an amazing race. It was really fun and different, pretty tiring though since we were running for about 2 hours straight!

I just had mine this weekend and we did a "race to the alter" theme with sun dresses and big hats like we're going to a horse race (going to an actual horse race is also a ton of fun, so keep that in mind for your party if you have any tracks in the area!). It was a blast. My bridesmaids all got together at MOH house and she had dinner, snacks and drinks ready. Then we went out on the town! A GREAT night!!

It was really fun! The couple was lucky in that the BMs and GMs worked really well together and as a result it was really well planned. We won by the way smile29.gif

Ooooh that Amazing Race theme sounds perfect for my best friend's stagette! But we've already decided to go tubing down a river near us. She originally wanted to go skydiving, but that is a bit limiting for the rest of us chickens who are way too scared to do something like that.

An amazing race would have been right up her alley!! Gosh, oh well.

I've planned the day of tubing down the river, then booked a hotel suite for our games, dinner at a nice Indian restaurant, and then a 'surprise' police officer to respond to a 'noise complaint' - HA! She will love it. :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
