We had a joint party. We have the same friends. His guy friends were my friends first, so I didn't want to have a bachelorette party without my friends because they are guys.

It is definitely up to the both of you and what you think would be the most fun! One of my friends and her FI did this in downtown Chicago. The guys were on one floor and the girls were on another, by the end of the night we were all together. Worked out very well for them! Good luck!

Our tentative plan is he's going on a weekend golf outing with his friends next April as his bachelor party

My best friend who is hosting my shower is also hosting my bachelorette party (she LOVES planning parties!). She's got 2 things in mind

The 1st is since I'm not from Nashville and since all but 2 of my friends live in Michigan, to host it there (using my dad's house out in the sticks as the meeting point- hasn't sold it and lives in my step moms house...don't ask!) and the 2nd is to have everyone meet in Chicago (a 7 hour drive for us and a 3.5 hour drive for everyone else) and party there

BUT...when we're in St. Thomas, the night before, the photographer and the same best friend decided to host a joint party at Duffy's Love Shack (a bar).

I kinda like this idea, we were planning on partying the night before anyhow, but it gives us the best of both worlds.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
